Chapter 23
It was another beautiful day and Eva woke up with determination. She walked into her bathroom and tidied herself up.
She had a perfume her father bought for when he went on vacation in France. She brought it out from her bag, ran her eyes on the date and some write-up that was on the bottle. She gently removed the cap and sprayed it around her body. She stood, ready for the day.
Eva was surprised Julian hadn't gotten out of the bed yet. She dropped the bedding as usual. On second thought, she summoned courage and walked towards his bed.
She pulled his duvet slowly, he swiveled and opened his eyes. Julian wiped his eyes again to make sure he was seeing clearly.
Eva stood behind him, offering him a smile with her phone in her hand.
