Billy and I make small chat in the limo, and I find myself telling him real details about my life. He knows I am enrolled in college and that I am studying law. I also told him my real age and that I want to work in family law because of how I grew up.

The words roll off my tongue easily and he tells me secrets about his life. He wasn’t raised rich; he was raised dirt poor. He grew up without a father and his mother worked nonstop to support him and his little sister. She sadly passed away 10 years ago from cancer. Cancer runs in his family because his aunt was next and that’s how he got the store.

“I am sorry about your mother, “I say sadly. He sighs and holds my hand, “And I am sorry about yours.” I smile and Bert rolls down the divider window, “We are here. Do you want the same entrance as usual?” he asks Billy.

Billy looks at me and grins, “Yes, I think Raven will enjoy this very much. I am pulling out all the stops for this one.” Bert smirks and looks at me and I shrug.
