Killian's POV

I found a way to leave after the humiliating breakfast which just entailed Ana talking about all the things I did wrong. All of these things my mother believed. She spent another thirty minutes advising me on how not to end up like my father.

For the first time in a long time, I had nowhere to go to for solitude. I wasn't sure Stephen would really want to see me now of all times and the way I made him would still leave him scarred. I unconsciously found myself at My Café where Katie works. There is a sign on the outside that they would be closed for today due to some health violation policy. The entire scene looked like something my mother would definitely have a hand in. She only ate here yesterday and today, they had a health violation policy warrant.

It almost sparked into another moment of rage, the way she only seemed to appeal to chaos in the name of bringing order to a room she had no hand in making.
