Angelica and Syn were literally plowing a row through the multitude of demons pouring into the cemetery from the rift. She quickly noticed the man with her was mostly attacking demons that were headed toward her but she let it slide on the grounds he was helping even though he was being picky about it.

Zachary’s flame snake wound its way through the demons, setting them ablaze along with a couple of half-eaten zombies. Seeing what was going on in his peripheral vision, Zachary set the area around them on fire, creating a protective circle of flame. Unless they could fly or withstand flames they would have a hard time passing the barrier.

As they approached the group now hovering around Kane, Angelica felt a crushing weight on her chest at seeing him in such a state. She felt a sudden urge to cry… his pain affecting her in ways she never imagined she’d feel for a vampire. Always one to run from emotion, she turned away from the scene and rushed to Zachary’s side t
