30. Roof Top

Ned chuckled at her reaction. "You're on the rooftop, remember? No prying eyes here. You're not very good at this, are you? But you're learning." He leaned in as if to continue, but Laura resisted. Outdoors, she felt exposed, afraid someone might see.

To Ned, her struggle were like a kitten's play, harmless and ineffective. He kissed her, and as she struggled, it only seemed to amuse him. Suddenly, they tumbled to the ground, and he pinned her down.

"Ned, stop!" Laura cried out. "What are you doing? Let me go!"

Her voice carried, startling a wolf in a nearby cage. It howled and bared its teeth, lunging at the cage. Laura, seeing this, instinctively burrowed into Ned's arms, despite her fear of wolves, especially captive ones. She had always been calm and collected in front of Kathy, but now her composure was shattered.

Ned quickly used his magic to deeply hypnotize the wolf, ensuring its slum
