The hallway felt longer this time.

Amara walked beside Lucian, trying not to show how strange everything felt. Every step made her hyper-aware of the people around them.

Or rather…

The wolves.

She could feel their eyes on her.

Everywhere.

Watching.

Judging.

Some curious.

Some hostile.

It made the back of her neck itch.

“How many of them are there?” she muttered.

Lucian didn’t look at her.

“Enough.”

“That’s not an answer.”

“It’s the only one you’re getting.”

She rolled her eyes.

“Do you ever give normal responses?”

“No.”

“Figures.”

They entered a wider corridor.

The moment they did, several wolves straightened.

Respect.

Fear.

Submission.

It all aimed at one person.

Lucian.

Amara noticed it immediately.

The way their heads lowered slightly.

The way no one dared step into his path.

Even the air seemed to move around him differently.

She frowned.

“You’re really their boss.”

Lucian glanced at her briefly.

“I’m their Alpha.”

“That sounds worse.”

As they walked, whispers followed.

“She’s the human…”

“The one who bit him…”

“Is it true she dominated the test wolf?”

Amara stiffened.

Great.

She was already famous.

A woman stepped forward suddenly.

Tall.

Elegant.

Cold.

Rhea.

Her dark eyes locked onto Amara instantly.

“Well,” she said smoothly.

“So the little survivor finally comes out.”

Amara stopped walking.

Lucian didn’t.

Which meant she almost walked straight into him.

She quickly stepped to the side.

“You must be the sister,” Amara said flatly.

Rhea smiled.

Sharp.

“Oh?”

“You have the same ego.”

A few wolves nearby inhaled sharply.

Lucian glanced sideways at Amara.

Amused.

Rhea’s smile thinned.

“You’re bold for someone who barely survived yesterday.”

Amara crossed her arms.

“And you’re rude for someone I just met.”

Silence.

Tension thickened instantly.

Rhea stepped closer.

Studying her.

Like she was examining something strange.

“I don’t like you,” Rhea said calmly.

Amara shrugged.

“Good. The feeling is mutual.”

Lucian sighed softly.

“Rhea.”

His voice carried warning.

But Rhea ignored it.

Instead, her eyes drifted to Amara’s neck.

The faint bite mark.

Her gaze darkened slightly.

“You turned her,” she said.

Lucian didn’t answer.

But he didn’t deny it either.

Rhea’s expression sharpened.

“That’s a mistake.”

Amara’s patience snapped.

“Can everyone stop talking about me like I’m not here?”

Several wolves shifted awkwardly.

Lucian smirked slightly.

Rhea tilted her head.

“You’re in a wolf pack now, human.”

“Name’s Amara.”

Rhea ignored that.

“Things don’t revolve around your comfort.”

Amara stepped forward.

“Good.”

Rhea’s brows lifted slightly.

“Because I wasn’t planning on making you comfortable either.”

For a moment, both women simply stared at each other.

Predators circling.

Lucian finally stepped between them.

“That’s enough.”

His voice wasn’t loud.

But it carried authority.

Instantly.

The tension dropped.

Rhea sighed softly.

“You’re protective already.”

Lucian’s expression didn’t change.

“She’s under my protection.”

Amara blinked.

That was… unexpected.

Rhea noticed too.

Her eyes flickered with something dangerous.

“Interesting,” she murmured.

Very interesting.

Footsteps approached from behind.

Dante.

He slid into the hallway like he had been waiting for drama.

“Did I miss anything fun?”

“Yes,” Amara muttered.

“You missed the welcoming committee.”

Dante grinned.

“I like her.”

Kael appeared moments later.

His gaze immediately locked onto Amara.

Cold.

Suspicious.

“You shouldn’t be walking freely yet,” he said.

Amara groaned.

“Here we go again.”

Kael ignored her.

“She’s unstable.”

“I’m standing right here!”

Lucian’s voice cut through the argument.

“She stays.”

That was final.

Everyone knew it.

Even Kael didn’t argue further.

But his eyes didn’t soften.

If anything…

They hardened.

Amara shifted uncomfortably.

“So… this is my life now?”

Lucian looked at her.

“Yes.”

She sighed dramatically.

“Great.”

Lucian turned toward the large doors ahead.

“Come.”

She followed reluctantly.

The doors opened.

And Amara froze.

The room beyond was massive.

Like a throne room.

Long table.

High ceilings.

Wolves everywhere.

Dozens of them.

And every single one turned toward her.

Her heart skipped.

“Oh…”

Lucian walked forward.

Completely unbothered.

Amara leaned closer slightly.

“Please tell me this isn’t a meeting about me.”

Lucian didn’t look at her.

“It is.”

She groaned.

“Fantastic.”

Lucian stopped at the head of the table.

Every wolf lowered their head instantly.

Submission.

Power.

Authority.

Amara watched it all carefully.

Then looked at him.

“You really run this place.”

Lucian glanced sideways.

“I told you.”

She leaned back slightly.

“Well…”

She sighed.

“I guess if I’m stuck here…”

Her eyes scanned the room.

“…I should at least learn the rules.”

Lucian’s gaze lingered on her.

Curious.

Interested.

Because that?

That was the first step toward acceptance.

Even if she didn’t realize it yet.

Across the room, Rhea watched them both.

And smiled slowly.

Because she could already see something dangerous forming.

Something that could destroy everything.

Or rule it.

The room slowly emptied after the meeting. Most of the wolves left quietly, casting curious glances toward Amara as they walked past. Some looked impressed. Others looked annoyed. A few looked like they wished she didn’t exist at all. Amara noticed every single one. Her new senses didn’t allow her to ignore anything anymore. “Your people don’t like me,” she muttered. Lucian leaned against the large table, arms crossed. “They don’t trust you.” “Same difference.” “No,” he said calmly. “Trust matters more.” She scoffed. “Well, I don’t trust them either.” Lucian studied her for a moment. “That will change.” Amara folded her arms. “Don’t count on it.” The room finally cleared until only a few people remained. Dante. Kael. And Lucian. Kael stepped forward first. “She shouldn’t be walking around freely,” he said again. Amara groaned loudly. “Oh my God, do you have anything else to say?” Kael ignored her completely. “She hasn’t even learned control.” Lucian’s voice r

The door opened slowly. The metal creaked softly, the sound echoing through the dim chamber. Amara barely heard it. Her body lay on the cold floor, chest rising and falling weakly as exhaustion pulled at every muscle. The fight had drained everything from her. Even breathing felt heavy now. Footsteps approached. Slow. Measured. Familiar. Her eyes fluttered open slightly. Blurred shapes filled her vision until one figure stepped closer, blocking the faint light from the hallway. Lucian. Even in her exhausted state, her body reacted instantly. Her senses sharpened again. His scent hit her first — dark, powerful, unmistakable. Her heart skipped. “I hate that you’re the first thing I see when I wake up,” she muttered weakly. A faint smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. “And yet,” he replied calmly, “you keep waking up in my territory.” She rolled her eyes, though the movement made her head spin. “Not by choice.” Lucian said nothing. Instead, his gaze shifted to th

  • Blood Moon: Claimed by the Mafia Alpha   Eyes in the Dark

Amara couldn’t move. Her body locked in place as her eyes strained against the darkness. Those eyes… They were real. Not her imagination. Not fear playing tricks on her mind. They were watching her. Waiting. Her breath came out slow. Shaky. “What… is this…” she whispered. No answer. Only silence. And those eyes. Then A low growl echoed. Deep. Warning. Not human. Her heart slammed violently against her chest. “No…” she shook her head, stepping back slowly. “No, no, no—” Another growl. Closer. Her instincts screamed at her. Run. Fight. Don’t freeze. Amara forced her body to move. One step back. Then another. Her breathing quickened as her back hit the cold wall. Trapped. The darkness shifted. And suddenly It moved. A figure lunged forward. Fast. Too fast. Amara screamed, dropping low just in time as something massive flew over her. A crash echoed behind her. Heavy. Violent. Her heart raced wildly as she scrambled to her feet. “What the hell is

Amara didn’t stop struggling. Even as Lucian carried her like she weighed nothing… Even as the gates closed behind them… Even as the air shifted again—heavy, controlled, suffocating. She fought. Kicked. Twisted. “Put me down!” she snapped, her voice sharp despite the fear clawing at her chest. Lucian didn’t respond. Didn’t even look at her. Like her resistance meant nothing. That alone made her angrier. The moment they stepped back inside— All eyes turned. Guards. Wolves. Watching. Waiting. Judging. Amara felt it instantly. Their stares. Their curiosity. Their fear. Her stomach tightened. She hated it. Hated how exposed she felt. “Enjoy your run?” The voice came from the side. Dante. Leaning casually against the wall, a smirk playing on his lips. Amara glared at him. “Mind your business.” He chuckled. “Oh, I like her.” “Take her to the lower wing.” Lucian’s voice cut through everything. Cold. Final. The room went quiet instantly. • Blood Moon: Claimed by the Mafia Alpha   You Can Run

Amara didn’t think. She just ran. Her bare feet slammed against the cold marble floors as she pushed herself forward, her breath coming out in sharp, uneven gasps. The hallway stretched endlessly ahead of her—dark, unfamiliar, suffocating. Her heart pounded violently. Too fast. Too loud. Everything felt too real. Too sharp. Too intense. “Just run… just run…” she whispered to herself. Her senses were still out of control—every sound echoing in her ears, every scent overwhelming her. She could hear voices far away, footsteps in different directions, even the faint hum of something electrical deep within the walls. It was driving her insane. But she didn’t stop. Couldn’t stop. She turned a corner. Another. Another. The building felt like a maze. “Where is the exit?!” she cried, panic rising fast. Her chest tightened as fear clawed at her throat. She didn’t belong here. Didn’t understand this place. Didn’t understand them. All she knew was She had to get out. Fina
