4-Bringing Erin Home

James’s POV

We got back to the pack three hours earlier than we expected to. Kline was waiting for us at the Packhouse.

Our packhouse is as old as the pack, about 1500 years. Alphas have upgraded and added to it over the centuries. The front entrance is the original building, gray stone two stories, the inside is mostly stone walls and we do have marble floors now. The original rooms are now the kitchen, dinning and recreation rooms. As well as a large ball room for pack events.

The west wing was built in the 1600’s and is three stories high. Offices for the Gamma and Beta are in the ground floor, I don’t currently have a a Gamma so the second floor is unoccupied and my Beta Kline has the third floor. The East wing was built in the 1800’s the ground floor is guest rooms for visiting ranked pack members. The second floor is visiting Alpha suites and the third floor is for the Alpha’s family. Currently, it’s just me. My parents moved to a lake house when I took over.

“Welcome home,” Kline saids. He smells of sex. I can smell who it is he has been with.

“Kline, for the love, go take a shower before Kass smells you. She will kick your ass and I won’t stop her this time. How the f**k were able to be with Taylor didn’t Chris leave him in charge?” I forgot for a moment that Erin was next to me. She grabbed my hand to calm me.

“I decided to accept the mate bond,” Kline said flatly. “I can’t fight it anymore.”

I stopped in my tracks. “What mate bond?”

“Taylor and I are fated. We have, or more I have fought it for two years. I didn’t want to admit I’m gay. I couldn’t reject him either. I love him.” Kline could make anything sound like an obligation. He was so dry and emotionless.

“So Chris needs a new Beta or I need a new Beta?”

Chris has a Gamma so he has help.

“Chris needs a new Beta.” Kline said dryly. “This must be the Luna.”

“Hi I’m Erin. So happy you decided to accept your fated mate. It will make you so happy.”

Kline gives her a sweet nod and a half smile.

Kline doesn’t show emotion happy or angry. He is 6’ 2” darker complexion than I have, bald, with yellow eyes. He can be intimidating and scary. But my Luna doesnt seem fazed.

“Great, is Taylor here?” I ask.

“He is moving his things and resigning his current post. He will be here for dinner. Kassandra of course is too excited. Have you made a decision on Gamma?”

“Im trying to decide. Between Kass and George. We can discuss it tomorrow. I want to show my Luna around.”

“Can I see Kass I want to catch up? Especially since you are sending her away after my ceremony.” Erin does a small pout.

“Where is Kass?” I ask Kline.

“Where any good Gamma would be , training yard.” Kline says coldly.

We approach the training yard and I see Kass sitting with a group of she wolves her age. All are mated except Kass. Kassandra sits with her dark curly hair in a high bun, her tone body on modest display in her workout clothes, her mocha colored skin shined in the sun, she is chatting, laughing, and in her arms a new pup. Kass was lovingly coaxing the little one to eat a bottle. Erin is certainly the most beautiful she wolf in existence, but with a pup in her arms and that smile, Kass is coming in a close second.

“Alpha? Oh you are here early,” Vanessa exclaims.

“Yeah I like to catch you all off guard,” I smile at them and Kass’s smile widens and brightens.

“Luna!” Kass boomed. “You have no idea how happy we are to see you! Welcome!”

All the warriors hear Kass and have stopped training. Everyone turns and bows saying. “Luna” in unison. I nod to them all and they went back to work.

Kass and her friends remain standing with us.

“Kass whose baby?” I ask confused.

“Megan’s she is here visiting her squad. She is a tough one to feed so I’m helping her out,” Kass smiles as the pup continues to eat.

“She is beautiful,” Erin smiles.

“I’m sorry Alpha and Luna, I’ll get Tamera off the training field,” Megan another female commander joins us.

“No need Kass looks in heaven,” I smirk.

“Makes you want to take a chosen mate at last Kass?” George my top male commander, candidate for Gamma, unmated, and shameless man-whore, says touching Kass’s hips and standing close to her back.

“Get you hands off of me before I break them,” Kass growled. I smirked and George goes pale and backs off.

“Alpha please make a decision on the Gamma position! Kass is being harassed by George to be chose mates,” Megan says raising her eyebrows.

“Megan it’s not harassment, I can handle George. Alpha will make his decision when he can,” Kass says pulling an empty bottle from little Tamera.

“How did you get her to take then whole thing?” Megan asks.

“She loves her Auntie Kass. And I love her!” Kass snuggles the little girl to her chest.

“You are a natural. I hate you,” Megan shook her head.

Kass smiled and handed Tamera back.

“May I?” Erin asks quietly.

Megan hands Tamera to Erin.

“Looks like Luna is a natural too,” Kass Awes.

“I want a pack-house full of babies,” Erin confesses. I got slightly uncomfortable as all the female warriors standing there immediately looking at me.

“We all want that, for you. We are so excited to have our Luna,” Kass said turning the attention back to Erin.

“Bet your happy to be away from that evil brother of yours,” Melissa says. I hadn’t noticed but she didn’t look happy that Erin was here.

“Melissa that is enough,” Kass warned in her commanding tone.

“My brother is not evil. He protects his pack at all costs, but he is not evil,” Erin defended her brother and pulled Tamera close to her chest in a protective manner.

“Your brother killed my cousin Alpha Marshall for no reason,” Melissa was on the verge of tears. “He was only 19 and just found his mate. Your brother is a killer.”

Erin looked confused, “Alpha Marshall challenged my brother. My brother won.”

“Marshall wouldn’t have had to challenge him if your brother wasn’t killing Alphas for their land.” Megan was taking a fight stance. I stepped in front of Erin.

“Enough Melissa,” Kass barked. “You are dismissed. Don’t come back to training until you remember your place.”

Melissa looked at Kass with tears in her eyes. “I’m sorry Alpha, I’m sorry Luna,” Melissa nodded and stormed off.

“Please forgive her,” Kass asks.

“Already done,” Erin smiles. My mate is merciful.

“She will need to be punished,” I remind Kass.

“I will see it’s done Alpha,” Kass answers. I know she will be appropriate.

“Kass can you and I get some training in before you leave?” Erin asks handing Tamera back.

“Anytime Luna,” Kass smiles. “I am at your disposal.”

“Great I hope when you are done with your grand tour we can make it a regular thing?” My mate looks at me scornfully.

“You know, you blame me, but it was your brother’s suggestion that he and I send our best to other packs. And Kass is the best,” I tell her defending myself.

“Whatever,” Erin rolls her eyes. “Blame Pat when he’s not here.”

“Pat?” I ask.

“Oh sweet goddess never let him know I said that. He hates that name.” Erin blushes.

I smirk and put that in my bank. Maybe good to distract him during our next spar.

Erin and I leave the training yard so she can get comfortable in her new home. And of course meet my parents.

Mom and Dad are at the packhouse when we get back.

“Hello, Erin,” my mother cries out happily. “We have so much to do. I’m Marie and this is Richard. Let’s get to work.”

And with that my mother drags poor Erin away. My dad claps me on the back.

I went to my office and got caught up by Kline and worked on Pack business for several hours.

“Okay you think I talk a lot? Your mom!” Erin crumbled into the chair next to Kline.

“Yes the former Luna has the gift for gab,” Kline said his face barely registering that he was talking.

I see Taylor appear in the doorway and knock on the open door.

“I smell him,” Kline said not looking up from he document he was reading.

“Don’t you sound happy about it,” Taylor said brightly. “I wanted to meet the new Luna.”

I smile, “you mean Kass’s biggest fan?”

“Are you teasing me?” Erin asked squinting at me.

“Yes I am, my love,” I laugh.

“Luna I’m Taylor,” they shake hands.

“Taylor and Kassandra are twins,” Kline was dry and still had not looked up.

“I can tell,” Erin smiled. Taylor really did look just like Kass but with longer hair. Taylor always kept his black hair long, straight, and sleek. “I’m jealous of your hair.”

“Oh aren’t you sweet. Kass is too, she can’t get hers this straight. I tell her it’s all in the flat iron.” Taylor smiled running his hand through his hair.

“This is the Alpha’s office, business is taking place, this sounds like a saloon conversation,” Kline said flatly still reading the file in his lap.

“Lighten up,” I say finally. “Come here baby.”

Erin slides onto my lap smiling. “Hey baby.”

We kiss slowly.

“That is the way mates behave,” Taylor complains.

Kline puts down his papers, “fine come here.”

Taylor rolls his eyes, “don’t hurt yourself.” Then walks out.

“Damn if I do, damn if I don’t,” Kline sighs and goes back to work.

“You know if you made a slight effort you would be happy. I mean just saying you smell someone is not acknowledging their presence. And him wanting a kiss or affection is not out of line. You could pause your work and at least smile at him.” Erin lectures Kline who looks at her respectfully.

“I don’t smile at anyone. I also don’t think my mate disturbing the Alpha and myself is appropriate. As Luna you can enter here anytime. He is my mate, and has no official position in this pack yet.”

“That the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.” Erin counters. “He is your mate, second Beta, if you chose not to share responsibility that is on you. But he deserves recognition and affection.”

“She is not wrong,” I add. “He waited two years for you to admit your are mates. You have put him through enough, go find your mate, apologize and make up.”

Kline snarls and leaves.

“He is not friendly,” Erin saids.

“No but he is a good Beta and Keeps our pack safe. Under his leadership we haven’t had a boarder breech in Eightteen months.”

“Kass will kill him if he hurts Taylor.” Erin saids eyes wide.

“She almost did about three months ago. I had to physically pull her off of him. Alpha commands don’t work on Kass. They never have.”

“Wow she is pretty strong to resist an Alpha Command. I struggle to resist my brothers. Are you sure she is not an alpha blood?”

“No, her and Taylor’s mother is a complete mystery. We know nothing about her.”

“I bet she is an Alpha or Lycan. I mean both of them are super tall, and their eyes remind me of Lycan eyes.”

“I’ve seen their wolves both midnight black, Taylor has a red tipped tail, Kass’s has a solid red tail. Similar to your hair. Your amazing hair,” I run my fingers through her hair.

Erin smiles and kisses me. “I’m not wearing underwear under my skirt.”

I run my hand up the thigh and find her wet already. I use my fingers to bring her to a climax in my lap.

“Up on the desk love,” I whisper in her ear. Erin sits on the desk hiking up her skirt and leaning back slightly.

I release my c**k and stand front of her. She giggles at me when I wiggle my eyebrows at her. When I enter her core she moans and wraps her hand around my neck.

She is not quiet as I thrust into her. I’m grateful for sound proofing when I look at the door and see it’s open wide and Kass is grabbing the handle closing it. She is trying not to laugh or make eye contact with me.

I wish I could say this was the first time Kass had seen me having s*x but it’s not. Kass and I have been friends our whole lives. She has caught me in the woods, my office, and in the gym once. She scolded me for the gym one. I never did it there again.

“Baby, you okay,” Erin asks. I realize I stoped.

“Sorry baby, we left the door open and Kass came by, she closed it,” I try to kiss her.

“She caught us?” Erin pushes me away and fixes her skirt. “I can’t believe it.”

“It’s okay baby we are mates,” I try to get her back.

“Put it away, I can’t believe this happened,” Erin ran for the door as I started laughing. “It’s not funny James.”

“Yes it is,” I laugh. Finally Erin starts laughing too. “Welcome home.”
