Chapter 18 Love Is The Air

I hastily got dressed and then walked over to the dining area. My eyes were shimmering, my face was glowing, and my heart was leaping with joy. I was over the moon to finally have my Mom and the love of my life.

Mom was arranging breakfast on the table with the help of a maid. I dashed towards her and embraced her from behind, placing my chin on her shoulder. “I'm so happy, Mom." I pressed my chin against hers and squealed with joy.

“Feelings are mutual, sweetie.” She smiled broadly and placed a soft kiss on my cheek.

Breakfast with my mother went well; we talked, and she inquired about my life and friends. I was taken aback by how much she already knew about me. I always had the wrong image of her, even though she was secretly taking care of me.

I just wanted to forget about my past and start a new life with Jonathan and mum, and, of course, my friends, because they were the only ones who were there for me when there was nothing but darkness in my life.
