CHAPTER NINETEENJuliana. The morning sunlight spilled through the curtains, but it did nothing to ease the knot in my chest.I could still feel the weight of Alexander's gaze from the night before—the way his fingers had brushed against my skin, only to pull away at the last second.I hated him for it.I hated that I wanted him to never pull away again.I spent most of the morning avoiding Alexander, staying tucked away in my room.Like doing the reverse. When I finally came down for breakfast, the air felt thicker—like everyone could feel the tension simmering between us.Roman glanced between us, smirking."Rough night?"My face heated."Don't you ever go to your apartment?"Roman pouted before shoving a big bite of pancakes into his mouth.Alexander didn't even look up from his coffee.Kai leaned back, grinning."Guess the library's becoming your favorite place, huh?"I shot him a glare, but the flush on my cheeks betrayed me."And you too Kai? I don't pay for the apartment to be
