Billy finished in the kitchen. The lunch rush was over, and dinner as well in hand. His sister’s daycare will drop her off in front of the Blue Moon for him. He’s happy he’d found a spot for her nearby for winter. The last thing he wanted to do was leave her with their grandmother. She’s not a child-friendly person and his sister was not an adult-friendly person.
Their grandmother visited the Inn today and the ghost hunting crew kept her busy. This meant he’d not needed to field her away from Jody. Billy wondered what she did to avoid his grandmother while he’s gone from town.

Nyree hated this whole situation. He wanted to have fun with the little water nymph, Belline. How could he do that? His was world falling apart around him faster than he could patch it up. How was he to find Ovar? Sluagh were shady creatures no one dared to deal with. Nyree was sure he’d never owe the damnable Sluagh a favour to stop this. Evening fell, and Berry’s ankle was old news for him. He hobbled into the small library. He sat down and would not move. The crews relieved, as space was at a premium for them. Dale took videos and pictures of the library. It would add to the character of the segment. With a wall of pictures, shelves of books on local history, and a well-appointed interior. This proved it would create the drama the background history would need. Shayla insisted on lighting the fire to have it and Berry in the shot. Greta and Eric were there. She laid out the order in which Berry would reveal the evidence and lore they found. &n
“Fine, I got that fixed. Now, Eric, you and Dale will tour the Inn one room at a time. So, Berry, back into your chair and we’ll have you explain the ghostly inhabitants and the history of the Inn and town. Greta, you’re behind them and you just need to smile and add the cards when needed. Eric, you get to sit in the chair beside Dale. That’s perfect. Dale, how is that for filming? Zero in on Berry and Eric, as Berry explains, then we’ll switch to a closeup of the board before cutting to commercial. We’ll start up with a closeup of the board after the commercial break and then back to Berry. With that over, we’ll explain that Berry’s sidelined because of an injury and Eric has kindly offered to be a mobile investigator for Berry since he can’t. Jonesy, you’ll stay with Berry and ensure that we have a record of his words and being passed along to us. Fo
Eric moved slowly from room to room. They found very little in the poltergeist room. But so they discussed much about the doll hospital of Evergreen Grove. The team pretended to discuss whether they would investigate the Doll Hospital’s building at some point. Within the Inn, everything appeared silent most of the time until they entered the Back Sitting Room. The team moved slowly through the house using night vision cameras to lead the way, mostly. It was in this room that odd movement and a tiny figure outlined for several seconds on the camera. The excitement grew when Greta mentioned the sheer number of fairies within the local lore. That war's not just a human problem here, and the tragic effects affect both the local population of people. Settlers, Natives, Fairies, and Native Nature Spirits. The lore itself would need
The crew worked further into the night, searching the footage and audio for any clues. Those clues and evidence were everywhere. From hazy forms sitting on antique sofas in the sitting room. To orbs flitting through the upstairs corridor. Unexplained sounds and voices responding not just to the investigator’s questions, but one or two responded to each other. Something stalked the halls of this inn. Something that scared the dead. But one thing was certain, none of the voices were the voice Eric and Greta spoke to first before the team got there and it was like they spoke to people from different times, and they couldn’t communicate with each other. “Anyone else thinks something really weird is going on here? Something feels disjointed.
Berry insisted the next afternoon after everyone slept, he miraculously healed and could trek through the bush on the island and lakeshore. Eric graciously bowed out from the camera work, though Amy insisted on touching up his appearance just in case something should change. Greta and Shayla both worried about Berry and his ego. How would it take before he did or said something stupid? Shayla covered herself and the program by sending rough cuts of Eric’s performance. Her aim in this was to green light working with Eric if Berry should walk off the set. That Davey and Amy both commented in private that they’d not miss Berry if they could continue working on the program. This type of loyalty worried Greta greatly. If it started with Berry, who
The strangers who wanted to speak to her were there at the wrong time. Olivia didn’t have the strength to be present for them. She could make out little of what they said. What shocked her, though, was to discover something else responded to her. She called it something else because she didn’t recognize it as anything she’d encountered in all the years she’d existed here in the Inn. Olivia never encountered the voice on their recording. The darkness and foreboding would have chilled her to the bone if she still possessed a body. There would be no way for her to follow them to the lake. Not now, with all the energy she’d spent. The Fae within the Inn right now were extremely active as well. Something agitated them and Olivia could feel the violence in their words. She couldn’t understand them, but
Eric and Greta’s team wandered down the path through the darkness toward the mining caves. Cameras posted earlier now recorded their passing. Rusted and rotting equipment lay scattered across the ground, a tripping hazard to everyone as they made their way to the largest cave. “It’s cold, dark, and someone’s going to break a leg out here.” Their cameraman, Bill, followed them both since his camera possessed a powerful light attached to it. But even with that, it created more shadows that revealed the many tripping hazards. After all, you can’t see a hazard if it’s buried under snow. “We’ll take it slow and easy. Film the ore extracting area first, before it gets too cold out here. Then we can walk ins
