Kaynon sat at the opposite end of the ice cream shop eating a hot fudge sundae, quite slowly as he observed the trio sharing a huge banana split. He had asked the waitress for their bill and to buy them all a shake of their choice togo, paying his at the same time yet asking to remain anonymous. The look of surprise on her face when the waitress explained that their ice cream had been paid for sent sparks of joy through his heart. Kaynon's heart was racing, faster than it had ever beat out of his chest. Her scent lingered in his nostrils, sweet like honey. The heat from where her fingers had been wrapped in his fur slowly dissipated. Cilyna. The most beautiful name he had ever heard. He wanted so much more in that brief moment. Though he had to settle with their silent exchange for now.Until we meet again. He thought as she rounded the corner and disappeared from sight, but not before she turned to look for him. His paws beat against the dirt and freshly fallen leaves. Kaynon's heart soared with the thought of seeing his oblivious mate again. Images of her bright green eyes and long wavy, almost black hair brushing against her curvy hips, had his mind so muddled a tree root tripped him. He kept his distance, as she had demanded, though the more she seemed to struggle with her sense of direction the more he wanted to intervene.
