“Yes. The goal was to let you know something had happened to me, so you’d get there before the guards came to fetch us for whatever reason,” said Frank before Aaron could answer.

Coralis closed her eyes for a minute to fully absorb the reasoning behind what truly happened. She gripped the hand Frank had on her thigh tightly and reminded herself that the wolf called Aaron had helped him, that those who would have done something to him were dead.

“An elemental mark on a human is a seal, but it also amplifies the connection. Yet, you, Blue Thunder, were able to fully use your bond to detect your mate's distress and find him, despite the lack of a mark,” said High Elf Frizzo.

“My dad told us that spirit mages tend to have a stronger connection to their mates. Was he right?” said Sebastian.

“Yes, but in this instance, I’m not sure this is the only reason why Blue Thunder felt her mate so strongly,” said High Djinn Moraa.

August 1, 2005“For real?” said Eva.“That’s great news, I guess that’s one more reason to celebrate tonight,” said Frank.“Really?” said Sebastian.“Yes. They won’t drop their laws regarding witchcraft and will still carry the sentences currently in place for when someone is found guilty of it, but they will no longer actively hunt us down. Recent events are making a lot of people realize that we always handled our own and that it was best to let us continue to do so,” said Ralphonse.“It’s about time they realize that. Most of the people killed by human authorities were either human or weak coven witches. The most wanted ones who have been killed were executed or handled by elementals. Hell, Blue even killed two of them,” said Sebastian.“True, they even had Blue and Alejandro served on a silver platter, and they failed,” said Stephanie.Over the next few weeks, more countries started backing out of the witch hunt and stopped using the list. While the Shadow Elementals were busy tak

July 31, 2005“Maybe you should have gotten a phone before taking your flight after all,” said Mark, sitting down on a folding chair next to Stephanie.“Me having a phone this week wouldn’t have changed anything,” said Frank, grabbing the folding chair his mother handed him. “I work entertainment, not current news affairs. If it was up to me, there wouldn’t be any witch hunt coverage because I wouldn’t want to give any attention to those wanting Blue dead.”“This is way above his pay grade,” said Sebastian, grabbing the insulated pot to refill his mug of coffee. “Even elemental journalists aren’t covering what’s happening properly.”“It’s as if you get a better pulse of what’s going on through flyball games. Commenters usually get it right,” said Stephanie.“I’ll take your word for it,” said Coralis, unfolding her chair next to Frank. “I didn’t get to watch a game since I retired, so I don’t know what's said during games.”Audrey called them to the dining table shortly after Coralis s

July 26, 2005 – 21:15 (UK Time)“I do not know what the official narrative is telling people, but they were certainly not meant to improve your national security. They weren’t summoning a demon per se, but I believe the people behind them wanted to mimic demonic possession. Based on the global definition of witchcraft authorities gave folks to justify the witch hunt, what was researched in that lab does fit that definition.”“While we have unethical scientists playing God, you have unethical ones playing demons,” said Nancy.“I believe it is an accurate way to summarize it,” said Coralis.Jack deposited a recorder on the table.“Some of the evidence we received was in holographic format, but we have a device that can read your holographic media files,” said Nancy.“There are no cameras in this room, but if you don’t mind, I would like to hear and record what exactly was researched in that lab. I do understand that you probably haven’t read the research data found in that lab, however,

July 25, 2005 – 14:15 (Manitoba Time)“Tomorrow will be difficult, but I would be willing to meet with you in the evening, provided it’s not at your Headquarters or anywhere near a CCTV. This is not a time where I should be seen by anyone on camera.”“I will give you the coordinates of a facility we sometimes used as an undisclosed location for meetings. Would that work?”“If it’s not in the London metropolitan area, it should be fine. Too many eyes in there.”Nancy gave her the coordinates, along with the meeting time, and Coralis entered them in her hologram.“Yes, that’ll work,” said Coralis, seeing that the meeting place would be near Liverpool. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”“BROS! Are you still at Sean’s?” said Coralis to Erik and Henry, remembering that Sean was now near Manchester.“Yes, we’re still squatting there,” said Henry.“I will be meeting my MI6 contact tomorrow evening by Liverpool. Frank and I were supposed to head back to Montreal in the morning, but I’ll need to take th

They set you 3rd, but only because my colleagues working your case can’t prove yet that those you killed were innocent, otherwise you’d be higher I believe. The same goes for another name that I heard, Emery. I heard they wanted to raise him to 15th for his involvement but wouldn’t say why. I think they moved him to 24th instead.”“My husband was kidnapped, and it led me there. I did kill a lot of people, yes, but the majority were the elementals, werewolves and vampires working there. There were indeed a few humans, six I was told. My husband wasn’t the only one they captured as unwilling participants for questionable research.”“Questionable research? Were they supernatural?”“Yes.”“Let me see what I can do from fiscal.

July 25, 2005 – 04:45 (Manitoba Time)“I told Blue Thunder to deal with Ylkyo however she pleased. He shamelessly lied to us through his teeth, and with what I saw in that compound, Ylkyo deserved a painful death,” said High Elf Frizzo.“Agreed, Ylkyo betrayed us all and deserved what happened to him. He knew how ashamed I was to see elves involved in the abomination of these experiments and the entire time he was spearheading the research behind them,” said High Elf Yalor.“There were six humans killed in that facility,” High Elf Ellya.“If they choose to do the work of the devil, they have to be willing to pay the price,” said High Elf Frizzo.Coralis listened to them silently. She was exhausted and wanted to go home, but she knew she had to stay until they would tell her she could leave. Even if she wasn’t working for them, she was a mage guilty of killing six humans and a CMMA elder in a fit of rage.“Let’s all remember what led her to that compound in the first place. As per our
