“I told Blue Thunder to deal with Ylkyo however she pleased. He shamelessly lied to us through his teeth, and with what I saw in that compound, Ylkyo deserved a painful death,” said High Elf Frizzo.

“Agreed, Ylkyo betrayed us all and deserved what happened to him. He knew how ashamed I was to see elves involved in the abomination of these experiments and the entire time he was spearheading the research behind them,” said High Elf Yalor.

“There were six humans killed in that facility,” High Elf Ellya.

“If they choose to do the work of the devil, they have to be willing to pay the price,” said High Elf Frizzo.

Coralis listened to them silently. She was exhausted and wanted to go home, but she knew she had to stay until they would tell her she could leave. Even if she wasn’t working for them, she was a mage guilty of killing six humans and a CMMA elder in a fit of rage.

“Let’s all remember what led her to that compound in the first place. As per our

September 11, 2005 – 16:45“What are you talking about? Firstly, I will not take requests from you. I may now be working for the CMMA, but I am not under you. We are now… colleagues, nothing more, nothing less. Second, I am just walking out of another meeting, and I'm on my way to a third one, I do not have the time to be recruiting anyone,” said Coralis before remembering Panjik’s call after her previous meeting. “I do not force anyone to join.”Coralis ended the call before he could reply. Realizing she forgot to check her cell phone for missed calls after her last meeting, she grabbed it after sliding her hologram back into her pocket. She hated flying without her cloak.Seeing Frank’s message telling her he was home and would be home to watch the announcement, she called him on their fixed hologram.“How is it going so far?” said Frank.“I hate it already. I’m on my way to Quebec City to meet with some mayors, I’m not sure when I’ll be home.”“Congratulations! You deserve this so

September 11, 2005 – 13:15“Wait what? Why would you do that? If you’re not appointed High Mage, won’t the Core Elders want you working for them? I mean, of course, I do not mind you working with me, I don’t even know what I’m doing and you’ve helped me so much over the years when if you never had to.”“You will understand better once you hear the details of the reform at tonight’s announcement. The Department of Family Affairs and the one handling legal matters will be attached to the Core Elders, but everything else is divided between the districts and Tobly, and I have no desire to work for the General.”“I see. Besides Emery, Roz and Ligyo, I don’t know who else has been appointed in this reform, and I forgot to ask about the other three elders. If you want to join me, I am certainly not going to turn you down. However, I don’t know yet about the positions I will need to fill and how it is going to work with salaries.”“Don’t worry about all that. Get through all of your meetings

September 11, 2005 – 10:45“You guys will have to give me a name, even if it’s just on paper. You heard what was said, and I can't do both. It would create friction between factions because they will assume that I’m going to favour our clan members when I'm expected to be unbiased.”“That statement alone kind of proves their point. Sam, she will be overseeing all shifter clans based in our district. In a way, she'll still be our leader,” said Jeremie.“If you say so,” said Coralis, chugging her drink before looking at Frank. “Well, it seems that I will have to miss brunch today. Say Hi to you Mom, I need to leave for St-Johns now if I don’t want to be late.”She grabbed her stick, kissed Frank and left. Frank sent a text message to his mother to let her know he’d be late and grabbed his car keys.“Ready?” said Frank to Samantha and Jeremie.“Where’s Coralis?” said Sebastian with he saw them arriving at the restaurant 30 minutes later. “Called in for an emergency at work once again?”“

September 11, 2005 – 10:00High Mage Finnas, High Elf Ellya and High Elf Yalor stood in front her Coralis’s apartment building, next to the car driven by Petaan.“Let’s hope she’s home, or we might have to warn her first meeting that she’ll be late,” said High Elf Yalor, going up the stairs.Coralis and Jeremie were getting ready to meet with Frank’s family at a restaurant for brunch while Frank and Samantha drank their coffee in the living room when the elders rang their bell. Frank got up to answer the door.“Luv, were you expecting the CMMA elders?”“No, why?” said Coralis while he let them in.“Sorry for coming here unannounced. We wanted to give you a heads-up, but we have been occupied on calls on our entire way here,” said High Mage Finnas.“Well, elders, you are in luck, then. Had you arrived 30 minutes later, you would have missed me. What can I do for you?” said Coralis, indicating for them to sit down.“As you are well aware, six of us have been killed since this war starte

August 1, 2005“For real?” said Eva.“That’s great news, I guess that’s one more reason to celebrate tonight,” said Frank.“Really?” said Sebastian.“Yes. They won’t drop their laws regarding witchcraft and will still carry the sentences currently in place for when someone is found guilty of it, but they will no longer actively hunt us down. Recent events are making a lot of people realize that we always handled our own and that it was best to let us continue to do so,” said Ralphonse.“It’s about time they realize that. Most of the people killed by human authorities were either human or weak coven witches. The most wanted ones who have been killed were executed or handled by elementals. Hell, Blue even killed two of them,” said Sebastian.“True, they even had Blue and Alejandro served on a silver platter, and they failed,” said Stephanie.Over the next few weeks, more countries started backing out of the witch hunt and stopped using the list. While the Shadow Elementals were busy tak

July 31, 2005“Maybe you should have gotten a phone before taking your flight after all,” said Mark, sitting down on a folding chair next to Stephanie.“Me having a phone this week wouldn’t have changed anything,” said Frank, grabbing the folding chair his mother handed him. “I work entertainment, not current news affairs. If it was up to me, there wouldn’t be any witch hunt coverage because I wouldn’t want to give any attention to those wanting Blue dead.”“This is way above his pay grade,” said Sebastian, grabbing the insulated pot to refill his mug of coffee. “Even elemental journalists aren’t covering what’s happening properly.”“It’s as if you get a better pulse of what’s going on through flyball games. Commenters usually get it right,” said Stephanie.“I’ll take your word for it,” said Coralis, unfolding her chair next to Frank. “I didn’t get to watch a game since I retired, so I don’t know what's said during games.”Audrey called them to the dining table shortly after Coralis s
