I snorted, shoving him away as hard as I could, which was not very much,

but at least it was able to put a bit of distance between us.

“look here!” he snorted, looking at me like he was seeing me for the first

time.

“I don’t know what is going on with you, but let me make this clear to

you, there is no fucking way I am going to let you reject me! You are mine,

and there is no way I am going to EVER let you go”

I let out a humorless laugh. Memories from my past came flooding my

mind, how he would lock me up each and every time I spoke out of turn or

treated me like I was a nobody.

“do you fucking understand me” he said

through gritted teeth.

I tightened my fist, looking at the same man that had been with my sister

not too long ago. It was not the first time he did something like this. In my

last life, he had built a reputation for himself as someone that slept with

many woman.

I never cared for those rumors, hoping that one day, he was going to

change for me and be a better mate “we really were foolish, weren’t we?”

my wolf whimpered, too scared to speak out loud in case he heard us, even

though it was not possible

“I understand” was all I said,

“I would like to dress up for the event now” I

said, bowing my head. He seemed satisfied with how I responded, it was

obvious from the way he responded and nodded, thinking he had won the

argument.

“don’t be late, I would be waiting for you downstairs with the remainder of

the pack.

” He said, walking out of room and house.

I looked around.“I would rather suck a cactus” I snorted as I pulled my hair into a bun,

throwing the clothes I had on for a shirt and trousers so that I could better

move.

I looked at the window, looking around to see if anyone was watching me

even though I knew that there was no one.

I climbed out the window, breaking out into a run as soon as my legs

touched the ground. There was no way I was going to let him come near, or

even dare to let him claim me as his mate.

I could hear yelling from a distance, making me run faster.

“fuck!!” I

muttered as the yelling got slightly closer, which could only mean one thing,

They found out that I was trying to escape.

I pushed forward, ignoring the protests of my body to stop.

“I really can’t go back, just to the borders, please” I murmured, begging my

body to cooperate with me but my body seemed to have a mind of its own

because I tripped.

On my own two feet!!

I cursed, trying to get back up, only to find out that somehow, I had

sprained my ankles, making it impossible to keep running.

“that would be a bother, wouldn’t it” I heard a voice from behind the tree,

making every inch of my body to go still.

I was ready to kill whoever it was if it meant that I was going to get out of

this pack. I turned, ready to jump at my prey when I saw… him.

The cool evening breeze seemed to make his face seem even more

appealing as his hair was now framing his face perfectly.

“It’s you” I mumbled, my body buzzed, just like it had done in the office

earlier.

“And it is you, isn’t it?” he smiled, stretching his hands for me to take.I looked at it skeptically, not trusting him one bit.

“It’s either me, or you go back to them” he said, giving me a knowing smirk

as though he already knew the answer.

“Fuck it” I said, taking his hands.

He pulled me to himself almost instantly, making me lose my footing as I

was not prepared for him to pull up like that.

“I love your smell” I said, burying my nose in the crook of his neck. I felt my

body go stiff as I realized what the actual fuck I had done.

“I am sorry!! I swear I don’t know what came over me, I just…

” his hands

tightened around me.

“don’t move, they are around” he whispered into my ear, making me lick my

lower lips, trying to keep the moan that threated to come out of my mouth.

“what the hell was wrong with me? Am I in heat?’ the questions kept

popping in my head, making me take in a deep breath to try and clear my

head, but it was worse.

His scent clouded my mind as soon as I took in a deep breath.

“you know love, if you continue this way, we may not be able to wait till we

get to my kingdom before we consummate our marriage and form our

bond” a bit of teasing in his voice as he spoke.

“I am sorry, I think you have me confused with…

” he watched me pull away

from him as I trailed off, the faint smile at the former of his lips as though

my confusion was enticing to watch.

“I guess you still have things to figure out” he said, talking as though he

was talking to a child.

“I’ll give you three days and then I’d be back. Make sure you wrap

everything up by then” it sounded as though he was giving me a command,

yet in some way, it wasn’t.“you have some nerve talking about kidnapping me you know?” I laughed

awkwardly, looking around to see that we were far away from the pack now,

I doubted they were going to hear me even if I did scream for help.

‘great! You followed a stranger to the woods! What where you thinking?’ I

scolded myself, but at this moment, it was too late.

I could only hope that if he was going to kill me, he was at least going to

make it a swift merciful death.

He threw his head back and laughed before pulling me close “I’ll see you in

a few days mate” he said under his breath.

My brain did not have the time to register the words because in the next

second, his lips were on mine, light enough to want for more, but deep

enough to feel his presence. I opened my eyes, wanting to say something,

or even push him away and scream about being a pervert, but as soon as I

opened my eyes, he was gone, leaving me to wonder if I was really

becoming a crazy person
