Bonded to the Elf king

I gasped, holding my neck as though I was gasping for air, only to realise I

was free. Nobody was holding my neck, pressing down on it like they were

trying to squeeze the life out of it. Nobody was looking at me with a

mocking gaze.

I looked around, for some reason, everything felt….

“strange” I muttered,

looking around to see that I was back to my old room which I had moved

out from two years ago.

I stood slowly, looking around as though it was my first day on earth.

Pushed the bedroom door open, only to find my parents in the living room,

smiling without a care In the world.

I felt the tears prickle at my eyes.

“honey!! You are awake!” my mother smiled, looking at me with this warmth

that made my throat tighten.

I took a step back into my room.

“is this…

” I swallowed, trying to get my shit

together.

“is this some sort of prank?” I said, my voice shaky as fought to

keep the tears at bay. They looked at me like I was some sort of crazy lady.

“I apologize okay? I admit I should not have betrayed you guys like that and

not a day goes by that I don’t think about it” the tears were falling down at

this point, the sobs interrupting each word as they flew out of my mouth.

I turned back, just about to go back into my room and figure a way out of

this hell I had somehow managed to put myself in when the door flew open.

“hey bitchesssssss”

“Lyara! Language!!!” my mother scolded but my sister rolled her eyes, she

walked up to me, giving me that innocent smile.

I froze, everything about this moment suddenly felt familiar.

The early morning air, my parents smiling and setting up and my sister

walking in with…

She handed me the bag! “Happy eighteenth big sis.

” I looked at her, telling

myself over and over again that it could not be.Everything seemed to be going just how it went down on my eighteenth two

years ago.

I opened the paper bag, and just like then, it was a perfume one I did not

know had wolf’s bane.

I pulled the bag away from me like it was going to kill me which most likely

could have

“you don’t like it?” she asked, suddenly looking at me with this panicked

expression.

The last time she had given me this, I was so excited, spraying it all over

my body and on all my clothes.

“I mean…

“Eloise don’t be rude, your sister spent a fortune on it” my dad said, giving

me an encouraging smile, but I only smiled back.

Nothing seemed to be making sense at the moment, one moment, Ian had

me in between himself and a wall as he looked into my eyes, telling me

how much he hated me as he squeezed on my neck and the next thing I

knew I was here, back into the room with events of the worst day of my life,

the day it all started, playing again.

*flashback*

“come on, don’t you want to spray the perfume?” Lyara pulled at me arm,

smiling at me with this cute innocent face that I could not refuse, I mean I

also wanted to spray it too so what the heck?!

I ran into the room, drowning everything I owned in the perfume.

“so…

” she said, entering into the room and looking around, I noticed how

she did not dare to touch anything in the room but I waved it off. It was

probably just my paranoia “

..what do you have planned for the day?” she

asked, looking at me like her life depended on it.

“you are being weird Ly” I smiled at her shoving her away slightly.“whatttt. I just want to stay with my big sis” she pouted as she moved to

hug me which I evaded.

“you know I can’t, not today” I said, opening my mouth to say something

when a knock came at my door. I rushed to the door, dropping everything in

an instant to swing the door, just as I suspected, Ian was there, looking at

me like he was bored out of his mind.

“what took you so long” he rolled his eyes, already leaving before I even

got a word out on why I was a few seconds late in opening the door.

‘it wasn’t even up to a minute’ I thought to myself but decided I was going

to keep my mouth shut so that I did not get him any more upset.

“we are going to my friend Mich first” I could have sworn that he raised an

eye brow, looking at me to see if I was going to give him a reaction but I

just smiled.

‘he does not mean it’ I told myself over and over swallowing the tears that

were about to gather.

He talked with his friend, totally ignoring my presence.

“umm… Ian? I think we should have this conversation another time, I mean

I would not want to keep Eloise waiting” Mich said, giving me this pitiful look

as though he was just realizing that I was there, standing behind them.

Ian looked at him as though trying to see if he was serious before he

snorted “please… I mean it’s not like she has anywhere to be, we are

basically doing her a favour” Mich gave an awkward laugh, looking at me

with this pitiful look in his eyes as he glanced at me.

I should have left, I should have stormed out and not looked back.

“he is

your mate, they never mean to hurt you” my mother’s voice echoed in my

head as I took another deep breath

“you know, can’t just say that about your mate to someone else” I said, his

whole body freezing almost instantly.

“what?” Mich said, looking at the two of us as though he did not understand

what I had just said.“excuse us a moment” Ian’s voice had gone deadly, looking at me with a

gaze that was sure to take my breath.

“what you think you are…

” he did not give me a chance to speak as he

dragged me away from ear shot.

“are you out of your mind?!!!” he said, tugging on hair while he paced back

and forth.

“I told you, nobody can know of us until…

” he took in a deep

breath before he smiled at me.

“look, just stick to the plan okay? Nobody

should know” I swallowed, looking at him even though the only thing I

wanted to do in that moment was scream why

A knock dragged me out of my daze, making me look from Lyara to the

door.

“I guess you have plans for the day huh?” she said giving a dramatic sigh,

as she threw herself on the couch.

I moved to the door, already dreading who I was going to meet there.

The knock came a little louder this time around, with muffled sounds

coming from the other side.

I swung the door open, coming face to face with the one person I did not

want to see, at least not now.

“what took you so long” the familiar scowl on his face sent a chill down my

spine, but I swallowed, I was not going to do this shit with him, not the

second time.

“and what are you looking for here?” I asked in my cold biting voice.
