Chapter 16

Catherine's POV:

I was clenching my fists, my wolf had been wanting to throw killer punches at the face of the man who had just tormented and abused me both physically and emotionally. His rejection had hurt less, and in the morning when I woke up with my memories flooding back in my head. It was only yesterday that he rejected me, but now the moon goddess really took me back with an unexpected surprise. A second chance mate, and quite a strong, terrifying, more dominant one at that. The moment he stepped into that room, I sensed an incredible power emanating from him. His presence alone made my hair stand up in shock, my heartbeat quicken all too suddenly and without warning. 

Sighing, I felt my body slightly relax as his beta led me to a fancy looking car parked near the entrance to our packhouse. As soon as my feet had landed on the earth just out
