Alpha Damien's POV:
The timing was just great.
I gripped the key to Catherine's room in my hand tight. To keep her safe, I will do anything I can, lie, and lock her up if I have to, even if that would mean I will break her trust.
I opened my mindlink and rushed into the woods.
"Drake, where the hell are you?"
"Boss, we're at the northwest side of the territory. They're getting close,"
I summoned Demiana and my strongest warriors. They immediately appeared by my side and we shifted as we ran towards my Beta's location.
Catherine's POV: When unexpectedly I managed to free myself with a power that I had absolutely no idea where it came from, I marched into the empty hallway, using my heightened senses to sniff out Alpha Damien's scent which led me to the gate going to the woods. Luckily everyone was busy doing their own business while I sneaked out of the mansion. No one seemed to have followed me all the way here. I took a deep breath and stared into the dark woods. Raya was worried in her space, thinking of what had happened to her mate and if he was alright and unharmed. I thought the same. I move my legs forward as I try to
Catherine's POV:Alpha Damien narrowed his eyes at me and I stood glued to my spot. His expression revealing a more curious than angry look on his face now that I noticed it. He opened his mind link and I did the same."So you freed yourself by destroying your door?""It was an accident. I kicked it open and it went flying in the air." I confessed although I wasn't really sure on the accident part.He just looked at me as if in fascination and tilted his head slightly to the side. A few seconds later he straightened up."Nevermind. I'll get someone to fix it right away."I just nodded my head and he looked again intimidatingly to the little girl on my back. She shrunk as though wanting to turn herself into a
Catherine's POV: My jaw dropped to the ground. Was he digging graves for these rogues? I walked until I was right beside him, still digging the ground. Our minds linked but he didn't take his focus away with his digging. 'Why are you here?' He asked. 'I came to find you. You weren't in your office and in the whole mansion either. I just had a feeling... I'd find you here,' 'And here I am,' he pointed out, chuckling to himself. 'Erm... Can I ask you something?' I said then gulped. 'Go ahead, princess.' Even when he spoke through mindlink, his deep, husky voice still had its way to get to me. The way he called my by that name, my body always shivers and my heart would abruptly increase its
Catherine's POV:I can only breathe heavy breaths as he stepped closer, invading the little space left that kept us separated from one another. His face was now just two inches away from mine.I tried calming myself by slowing down as I breathe. It seemed to be a therapy that cleared my mind and made my heart feel lighter than ever before. Surprisingly, my palpitations just came to a halt. Instead of feeling nervous everytime he was close to me, it felt as though I was actually enjoying his company. I then mustered up all the courage that survived within me and held onto it carefully, gripping it tight.Instead of stepping back, I walked to his side and the courage I've been depending on nudged me to go near him, so I did. I looked him in the eye and prepared myself to speak through our mindlink. This time, I
Catherine's POV: "Lilith is gone!" My lips parted slightly but no words came out. My mind was blank, and my whole body just became numb. Demiana herself was visibly in a state of panic. She looked as though she'd been searching through hills and mountains for the little girl we just knew not long ago. The same frightened little pup who ran towards me and hid herself under my coat. Now my heart was racing, and I had no intention of calming myself down at this crucial moment. Making a deep breath, I turn to Demiana whose face was etched with genuine concern and unshed tears that must have stung her eyes. "W..What happened?" I asked absentmindedly, trying my best not to stammer. "I left the room to make her some food but when I came
Catherine's POV:I can feel Raya pacing around like she was nervous about going back to the Silver Moon Pack. We had only spent a single night away from the place, and yet we find ourselves being forced to step back right into it. "Are you sure it's gonna be okay, Catherine?" She asked me, her voice seeming irresolute."We'll be fine, Raya. I'm sure we will." I assured her, but I myself can feel my heart beating faster in my chest. "Besides, we need to rescue Lilith from that dangerous, perverted wolf. I won't be able to live with myself if anything happens to her. What's the point of saving her from Alpha Damien if she'd soon get tortured by Easton because of me?""Easton is a dick," Raya protested. I nodded my he
Easton's POV: As soon as Dad kicked me out of the packhouse to bring back that treacherous woman, I pulled some threads, made a few calls to find the site where that piece of shit was holding her in place. It took me about a few hours to get the specific location. Fair Field, Sagaponack, New York City. Not that far from home. Luckily it was just a three-hour road from the packhouse. I quickly grabbed my keys and brought out my newest Ford Mustang from the garage. She sure as hell is dreaming if she thinks I would give her up that easy, that I would let her slip effortlessly away from my finger. No matter what, I will make her mine. All of her is entirely, only mine. Her smooth, hourglass, perfectly molded and luscious body was made to satisfy me, and me exclusively. I would get back what is mine, whatever it
Catherine’s POV:I stepped into the dark passageway, eyeing Lilith who was now tied into a chair. Fury coursed through my veins once I saw her small frail body clamped to that small piece of furniture. My eyes traveled to her hands and feet. Her body was taking way too much pressure for a child. Oh, poor little Lilith. I must have sworn Easton was such a sick, twisted bastard. To be dragging a clueless and innocent young pup into this is just too much. Clenching my fists, I took small and slow steps forward, suddenly wary of my surroundings. When I finally approached Lilith, I instantly bent down to untie her. Her bright golden eyes were visibly swollen from crying. My heart ached from the sight.
