Two weeks gone

**Alexander’s POV**

Emily was in danger. That was the first thing that came to my mind as I felt the sharp pain in my side.

I had been feeling some pain but I ignored them all. I thought I could do the same all day but it had been intense. I had gone searching for her and received the news of her being unconscious.

I clenched my fists as I stared at her pale face.

I partly blamed myself. Yes, I fúcking blame myself because if I hadn't ignored her as if she was trash, she would not be lying almost lifeless in front of me.

Again, I didn't know what I felt for Emily. It was strange. I still didn't think a mate should be given to anyone when he or she could make a choice.

But, I found myself feeling strange with her. A strange feeling I couldn't wrap my hands around.

“From the several tests we conducted on her, I realized she was two weeks gone…” My doctor, Patrick said, looking down at her.

I bit back a curse as I gazed at him. Shit! She was with a child?!

How the fúck was I not aware?!
