Chapter 29: Gradual Process

Marsai’s POV

“Uhn! You c…called me just to watch you eating?” I repeated as my tummy began to roar violently.

I was annoyed and was trying to keep my anger restrained. Why on earth did he decide to punish me with food, just when I'm really starving. I couldn't show my anger because I wasn't in any position to do so. He was looking at me like he was searching for a particular expression on my face.

Then he broke out in laughter, holding his tummy like his ribs could fall out if he didn't.

“Obviously not. I prepared this for you and I hope you like it,” he said, giving a wide smile.

I was delighted to hear that it was all a facade. My eyes bulged at the different kinds of food that were arranged attractively. I looked at him with so much love in my eyes, and then I began to eat as much as I could, without looking at him.
