Chapter 8: A Jet

Marsai’s POV

Guilt was a bitter feeling in the back of one’s throat. I watched as Alpha Asher carried the rogue that helped me by his shoulder, then flung him until he hit a tree and he fell to the ground with a thud.

A moan escaped his lips. The guards that were set out to find me stood all around me and even if I wanted to run away, I couldn’t. They were too fast and agile compared to me. One of them crept up behind me, then took both of my hands into his hand.

“Let me go.” I cried, the physical touch shaking me out of the trance I was in.

I was in a state of shock. I almost couldn’t believe it even though I knew that Alpha Asher was not going to rest until he found me. I felt horrible dragging down the poor man with me and now, he was probably going to kill the both of us.

My body started to shake in fear, and my eyes were glistened with tears. Alpha Asher took a step towards Sebastian, then he crouched down to his level and placed a hand on his jaw.
