The next morning I woke up with a banging headache and let out a moan as I pressed my hand to my forehead. I flicked my eyelids open only to shut them back again, due to the blazing sunlight flashing into the room. I took in a deep breath and struggled to sit up despite feeling so tired and my entire body aching for reasons best known to it. I opened my eyes again, to see I did not recognize this room. 'I mean it wasn't my bedroom and was even way bigger than it, so what was I doing here and how did I get here?' I pondered, soon getting an answer to my question. I tried reaching on the bed for my phone when my hand hit someone else and I froze, my eyeballs widening. Who was that? Did Cherry pass out beside me or something? A loud, deep groan erupted from the figure laying beside me on the bed and I almost jumped out of my skin. 'Was that a guy? If yes, what the hell was I doing besides one on the bed?' I asked myself as I looked down with a racing heart to realize I was unclad, with just the duvet covering up. I tried dropping my legs to the floor when a sharp pain hit me between my thighs and a yell almost escaped my lips but I bit it back. I did not want to wake up that man. What if he had taken advantage of me or....? Just then, memories from the night before rushed into my head. Yesterday was my graduation party and my father not attending devastated me so Cherry decided to cheer up by suggesting we visited the club and I made sure to stick to just beverages till a stinking man came and spiked my drinks. He tried kidnapping me afterwards to force himself on me but I escaped and ran in here, into this man who I then made advances to on my own, begging to touch me. My body went stoic as everything now fell into place. What was I thinking? Obviously that fool mixed my drink with aprodisitic. "Fuck!" I cursed silently, trying to get up again when someone out of nowhere grabbed my wrist, tight. I flinched, before turning to see the stranger beside me was awake and looking at me with a deep, gaze that for some reasons, made my heart skip a beat. My stomach dropped immediately. 'How could I face him now and what if he accuses me of taking advantage of him?' "Where do you think you are going?" He asked as he narrowed his eyes at me. I threw him a look like he was crazy for even asking. 'Where else would I be going?'. "Home." I replied and tried releasing my hand from his but his grip just tightened. "Why would you? I have not given you that permission." He said and I fought back the urge to scoff in disbelief. I mean the audacity of this man was becoming alarming. "And since when did I need your permission?" I inquired as I glared down at him, still struggling to release myself from his hold. "Since you barged into my room last night and demanded I make you mine." He answered and I laughed. This man was definitely crazy. "Did you hit your head or something while sleeping?" I decided to ask and he furrowed his brows at me in confusion. "Is that even possible?" "Well I just had to know because you have definitely lost it. I was drugged and had no idea what I was doing nor saying yesterday so please overlook them and let me go." I pleaded but he just kept on looking at me, like he wasn't even hearing me. "If you need compensation. I will try my best to give you whatever is left in my bank account." I added and this time, he was the one who burst into laughter. "What?" I felt offended and yanked harder, but ended up pulling him to me. Due to the intensity of the force, we both fell on the bed with he on top of me and our faces, just a few inches away from one another. I began to breathe heavily especially when his gaze fell on my lips and he took his into his mouth, biting the lower bottom seductively. I suddenly felt thirsty and gulped down my saliva instead. "G-get o-off me." I stuttered and the side of his lips curled into a grin. My stomach dropped as I almost feared he wouldn't listen but thankfully he did, moving away to sit up beside me, his hand still holding mine as I lay, panting on the bed. "If someone should come in now, they would think I just finished handling you." He commented and against my will, my cheeks began to turn red. "I am Luca moretti, and I obviously don't want your money." He began and I was about breathing a sigh of relief when; "But you are staying with me because you are already mine." He finished and I wanted to punch him in the face but then realized that I had to tread softly to deal with this guy. He has definitely lost it. "Alright then. Looks like I don't have much of a choice." I said as I turned to look at him only to see him frowning at me. "You accept just like that? Weren't you fighting me earlier?" He questioned and I sat up, inching close enough to wrap my hands around his face as I kissed him. Damn! His lips were so soft and I didn't even want to stop since he was reciprocating it. Was I beginning to lose my mind too? "You are handsome so it's not a bad choice." I replied to clear whatever doubts he was having since he was throwing me a suspicious look. I just needed to play along, make him drop his guard and when I see the opportunity, disappear from here. He could be a trafficker or worse and I wasn't going to risk that because who wants to keep a woman forcefully after a night stand? "Good girl. I have to pee, hold on." He told me, breaking our kiss and getting off the bed. His first two words made my nipples harden especially when he grabbed my boobs and squeezed them. I let out a moan. "Should I join you?" Those words came out before I could stop them and we both froze till he winked at me and disappeared into the bathroom. Well, things were fun but now is my chance.Luca’s POV The slap of her heels fading down the hallway echoed louder than any gunshot. Sofia had just seen the worst possible moment — and the truth was, I didn’t even do it.“Luca, wait—” Priscilla purred, reaching for me again, her red lipstick still smeared from that unwanted kiss.I shoved her so hard she stumbled and hit the floor. “Don’t you ever touch me again,” I growled. Her smirk faltered. “You used to like it.”“I never did,” I snapped. “You’re my father’s choice, not mine. And after what you just pulled, don’t ever show your face near Sofia again.”Priscilla’s eyes narrowed, venom flashing behind them. “You’ll regret choosing her. Alfonso will—”I stepped forward, cutting her off with a glare that made her freeze. “So it was you. You told Alfonso about the wedding, didn’t you?”She looked away, silent. That was all the confirmation I needed.I turned and stormed out before I did something worse. My hands were shaking from anger — at her, at Alfonso, and at mysel
Sofia’s POVI couldn’t sleep all night. The thought of marrying Luca Moretti by sunrise made my stomach twist. I kept staring at the ceiling, wondering if there was a way out of this nightmare. But every time I thought of my father tied to that chair, I froze. I was trapped.Morning came too soon. I was still sitting on the edge of the bed, wearing the same silk robe, when the knock came.“Come in,” I muttered, expecting one of Luca’s men.But instead, a tall man with sharp green eyes and a lazy smirk walked in. He wasn’t one of Luca’s men. His black suit screamed money, but his attitude screamed danger.“Good morning, beautiful,” he said smoothly. “You must be Sofia Ricci.”I frowned. “Who are you?”“Alfonso Romano,” he said, offering a hand I didn’t take. “I came to congratulate your soon-to-be husband.”My heart skipped. “You… you know about the wedding?”He smirked, his eyes glinting with something mischievous. “Of course. Word travels fast in our world.”Our world. He wa
Sofia POVMy whole body froze as the door creaked open. My heart pounded so loud I was sure they could hear it. I could already imagine Luca’s father pulling me out behind the curtain and ending me right there. But instead, Luca’s tall figure stepped into the bathroom, his dark eyes burning with anger and worry. He closed the door quickly, locking it behind him. For a second, I couldn’t even breathe, my wet hair sticking to my face.Luca cursed under his breath, running a hand through his hair. “Can’t you be quiet for once Sofia?”“Me?” I snapped, still trembling. “You’re the one who dragged me into this crazy world, Luca! I didn’t ask for any of this!”He looked at me for a long second, then took a deep breath, trying to calm himself.“ Get dressed,” he said finally, his tone firm. “Now.”“I can dress myself,” I murmured, clutching the towel tighter. He stepped closer, his hand brushing my shoulder. “I’ll do it”.My breath caught. His fingers were rough but careful, his mo
Sofia POVI couldn’t find my voice. He’s Luca Moretti? The most powerful mafia syndicate? No! What have I gotten myself into…“Looks like you’re thinking about something, aren’t you?” Luca said, breaking my thoughts before I could speak.“Well, I’m not. Just say what you want and leave, Luca.”My father looked terrified. The fear in his eyes showed that he truly knew who Luca was, and that scared me even more.“You heard your daughter, right? She asked me to leave.”“No, please,” my father begged, trembling. “I beg you on her behalf. Forgive her. We’ll do anything you want, sir.”Before I could react, one of Luca’s men punched my father in the face. He groaned in pain and could barely stay on his knees.“You should’ve taught your daughter some manners,” Luca said coldly, grabbing my father by the collar.“Let my father go, Luca. I’ll do whatever you want me to do,” I stuttered, tears welling up in my eyes.He was still my father — the only family I had left. I couldn’t stand
Sofia."And where do you think you are coming from?" I heard my father's voice behind me and shivered, almost dropping my heels and handbag in my hand.'Damn! What was I supposed to say now?' I wondered as I turned around slowly to face him. His face scrunched up into a frown as he looked over my outfit."I believe I asked you a question." He said and I took a deep breath."I went out with Cherry for yesterday's graduation and ended up sleeping over at her place." I lied.'Well not exactly.' I thought with a pounding heartbeat."And you couldn't call? Have you started whoring yourself out there now?" He scoffed, eyeing me like I was some dirt. His action pinged my heart, as if a knife had been shoved in."Daddy." I called out in disbelief that he could think such about me. Though, he wasn't exactly wrong, was he?But I didn't do it intentionally. I was drugged. These thoughts brought tears to my eyes and I turned around, storming to my room and not bothering to listen to what he was s
