"And where do you think you are coming from?" I heard my father's voice behind me and shivered, almost dropping my heels and handbag in my hand. 'Damn! What was I supposed to say now?' I wondered as I turned around slowly to face him. His face scrunched up into a frown as he looked over my outfit. "I believe I asked you a question." He said and I took a deep breath. "I went out with Cherry for yesterday's graduation and ended up sleeping over at her place." I lied. 'Well not exactly.' I thought with a pounding heartbeat. "And you couldn't call? Have you started whoring yourself out there now?" He scoffed, eyeing me like I was some dirt. His action pinged my heart, as if a knife had been shoved in. "Daddy." I called out in disbelief that he could think such about me. Though, he wasn't exactly wrong, was he? But I didn't do it intentionally. I was drugged. These thoughts brought tears to my eyes and I turned around, storming to my room and not bothering to listen to what he was saying. I mean, what does it matter? It was always going to be hurtful words as always. I should just deal with it, father will never see me as nothing more than a bad act. ......... .......... I spent the whole day sulking, mostly in the bathroom, trying to scrub myself of Lucien or whatever he called himself's touch. Though, memories of our night together mostly flashed through my head. The way I moaned when he plugged into me, his groan of pleasure as I bit into his lips, my pleads for more. Heat rushed to my cheeks. How could I have been so shameless with such a stranger? Just then my phone rang and I went out of the tub to my room to pick it up. The caller ID displayed Cherry's picture and my eyes widened in realization. She must have been so worried. I saw her missed calls when I got home. Tons, but then Dad's outburst made me forget to reach out back. "Hello." I picked up immediately and what came next was; "You Fool! I was just about to go to the police station to file a case that you were missing or worse, been kidnapped for trafficking because I noticed some creepy dude approach you but thought nothing about it since you sent him away." Cherry blurted all out with a scream that made me move my phone a bit from my ears. "Easy mommy. I am so sorry for making you worried and oh! You saw that?" I asked, referring to the guy and she gave another scream. "Ofcourse I did. Despite dancing and flirting with some dude, my eyes were actually on you till I blinked and you were nowhere to be found anymore." She answered and I knew it must have been the time when I was drugged. "I even thought you went to the restroom until hours passed and you were still nowhere to be seen. You weren't picking your cell either, so what the hell happened and where the fuck did you go to?" She demanded answers and I smiled bitterly. Atleast someone cared. "That creepy guy you saw actually drugged me and tried having his way with me." I responded and there was silence for awhile. "What? How dare he? You said tried meaning he didn't right? Are you alright?" Cherry began bombarding me with questions again, a concern note in her tone. "Yes I am fine. I hit him in the balls then made my escape, only to end up in an even worse situation." I cried and Cherry chuckled. "Alright, I know that tone. When you speak like that, it means whatever bad thing that might have happened, you enjoyed it so spill." She ordered and I laughed, before telling her everything. "Whoa! Just like in the books I read. You have a one night stand with a Mafia man and he becomes obsessed, except this pretty boy of yours isn't in the Mafia right?" Cassie was still talking when I heard a very loud bang from the living room, followed by noises. My stomach dropped, a feeling of dread setting in so I told Cassie to hold on while I went to check what was going on. I just hoped it was father and he was okay. I entered the living room to meet everywhere scattered, on the floor was my father, bleeding from his head. My eyeballs widened as I rushed to him immediately, not noticing the people with us yet. "Dad, are you alright? Did you fall? We have to get y....." I had barely completed my statement when I heard a very familiar laugh that sent shivers down my spine. 'No, it can't possibly be. Perhaps I was hallucinating, what would he be doing here?' I pondered, summoning the courage to look up and see the stranger from last night. He was sitting on our sofa, looking as handsome as ever with his legs crossed over another, an evil grin dancing at the side of his lips. "So you really think you could run from me? I already told you, you are mine now." He repeated and all colors drained from my face as I shook my head sideways, refusing to believe he was really here. "Who the fuck are you?" I yelled and my father shivered in my hands, a look of fear in his eyes. "D-don't be rude to such a person, S-sofia." He stammered and I narrowed my eyes at him. Since when was dad afraid of anyone. "You should listen to him, love. I might want you but that doesn't mean I wouldn't cut off your tongue if the situation warrants it." He threatened, a dark glee in his eyes. "I already introduced myself to you earlier today but not completely." He paused and I kept quiet, wanting to hear. "I am the current heir to Italy's most powerful, Mafia syndicate. Luca moretti."Luca’s POVIt all started the moment I looked at Isabella. She stood there with that cold, sharp stare she thought hid her feelings. It never did. I knew her too well. I’d raised her. Protected her. Given her everything my mother begged me to give her before she took her last breath.Isabella wasn’t a stranger. She wasn’t a threat. She wasn’t a lover—no matter how much she wanted to be.She was blood. And I owed her everything. But right now… she was the only person I trusted to stay with Sofia without hurting her or betraying me.“Stay with her,” I told Isabella quietly as I uncuffed Sofia’s hands and lifted her from the floor, laying her gently on the bed.Sofia’s eyes were half open… confused… tired… scared. She looked like she wanted to ask a hundred questions but didn’t have the strength for even one.I leaned down, brushing my lips against her forehead.A soft kiss.A promise without words.A warning I hoped she never understood.“I’ll be back,” I whispered. Her f
Sofia’s POVSome knocks feel like threats. Some knocks feel like warnings. But the knock that came after Luca whispered don’t scream…felt like a knife pressed to my throat. And the worst part?Luca wasn’t surprised. He didn’t jump.He didn’t look back.He didn’t stop what he was doing. He just let out a slow, annoyed breath.“Fuck off, Isabella!” he snapped. My eyes flew open.Isabella? That wasn’t a name I knew.It wasn’t a name Luca ever mentioned. It wasn’t a name that belonged in this house.“Who… who could that be?” I whispered to myself.“That doesn’t sound familiar at all.”But Luca didn’t care that I was confused. He didn’t care that someone was behind the door listening. He didn’t care that danger might be standing a few feet away.He just kept touching me.Slow.Deep.Relentless.My legs were already shaking from everything he’d done before, but he didn’t stop. He didn’t ease up. He didn’t give me time to catch my breath. It felt like he was trying
Sofia’s POVLuca didn’t flinch. Not even a blink. He just stared at me—straight into me—like whoever entered the house didn’t matter. Like he knew exactly who it was. Like he’d already decided they could wait. His eyes burned.Dark.Hungry.Dangerous.It made my whole body tense, every breath catching in my throat. I should’ve been scared. I should’ve begged him to untie me and run. I should’ve yelled for help—But all I could think was:God… he’s going to touch me again. My legs trembled. My cheeks burned. My stomach twisted so tight I almost gasped.I hated myself for wanting it.For craving it.For shaking from the last time and still needing more. What was wrong with me?Why did my body still reach for him even after everything— the fear, the yelling, the handcuff? Why did I still want him?Luca turned back to me slowly, like the sound downstairs didn’t exist at all. His chest rose and fell hard, his jaw tight, his eyes locked on me like he was swallowing me who
Sofia’s POVThe moment the door slammed, the room went still again.Cold.Too quiet.Too heavy. My wrists ached from the belt cutting into them, my shoulders burning from the stretch, my chest rising and falling too fast. I stared at the ceiling, counting the seconds, trying not to panic. He was gone.Really gone. The ringing downstairs finally stopped.I swallowed hard and whispered to myself,“Maybe he left. Maybe he finally left.”But even I didn’t believe that.I twisted my head toward the doorway. Nothing. No footsteps. No voice. No angry pacing. No slammed doors.Nothing.Just me and the damn cuff.“Luca…” I whispered into the silence. “Where did you go?”I saw the name flash for one second on the screen before he grabbed it.Adrian.Wonder who that could be…If Luca ran like that to answer, it meant only one thing—Whoever Adrian was, Luca trusted him.Enough to drop everything.Enough to leave me cuffed down without a second thought. That alone made my st
Luca’s POVI fear only one thing—Sofia walking away from me.And tonight…she tried. She actually stood on the damn window ledge, ready to throw herself out rather than stay with me. Rather than look at me. Rather than trust me.And she thinks after that, I’m going to let her go?She doesn’t know me at all.I stood by the door, staring at her tied body on the bed. My belt locked her wrists above her head, tight, unforgiving, leaving no space for hope or escape. Her skin was red from pulling, her chest rising fast, her eyes still filled with anger and fear and something else she didn’t want to admit.I didn’t want it to come to this. But she forced my hand.“You pushed me, Sofia,” I said quietly. “You tried to jump, and now you expect freedom? You really think I’m giving you that?”She glared at me, teeth clenched. “Let me go.”I actually laughed. I couldn’t help it.“I will never let you go,” I said, walking closer to the bed. “Stop telling me that. The more you say it,
Sofia’s POVI lay there on the bed, my wrists cuffed above my head, the cold metal biting into my skin, my chest still rising fast from everything Luca had just done—saving me, trapping me, claiming me, threatening me.And then the scream came.A loud, sharp, painful scream that shook the whole house. Both Luca and I froze. His head snapped toward the door.My heart jumped into my throat. The scream came again.A man’s scream. One filled with pain… and rage.I felt the bed shake as Luca pushed away from me.“Stay here,” he demanded.I actually laughed weakly through my fear.“Where else am I supposed to go?”He didn’t answer. He didn’t even look at me.He stormed out of the room so fast the door slammed into the wall behind him.And I was left alone.Just me.The cuffs. The silence. And the memory of almost falling to my death.I pulled at the cuffs again and again, my wrists burning.Nothing.No movement. No hope.I couldn’t even sit up.My legs trembled fro
