Maya woke up at 6:30 AM and stretched her arm out. She didn't feel Giovanni in bed, so she sat up and looked around the room. Maya walked out the bedroom and heard soft music coming from the kitchen.

"Merry Christmas," Maya whispered.

Giovanni looked up and saw Maya standing in front of him.

"Shoot, go back to bed. I wanted to bring you breakfast in bed before I wake Gabby up."

"I don't mind eating at the table, Gio," Maya told him.

Giovanni knew there was no chance Maya would go to bed, so he agreed. Maya went to the bathroom to freshen up before she returned. Once she returned, Giovanni gave her a stack of pancakes with syrup.

They sat on the couch and had a quiet breakfast together. Giovanni could tell Maya was uneasy about what happened last night.

"Mami, I know you're still upset about last night and-"

"I really don't want to talk about it, Gio. You said you don't want to, so I won't force you."
