Chapter 95

I followed Jeremy inside, and we continued greeting people and, of course, thanking everyone who had managed to make this a success.

I never knew the list was that long until my throat was parched and my mouth was aching from all the time I had spent talking, but it was worth it.

Everyone had thinned out of the hall, save for me and my gang—as I fondly like to refer to them. Charles had informed us that we were going to meet with the governor tomorrow for a brief on the project so we could begin the work.

We had been the last to leave, and we rode in our rented car that Charles had hired just for our convenience, and we went back to the hotel.

“Alright, listen up, ladies and gentlemen.” Charles said, and we all fastened our gazes to him as he talked. “We have been able to achieve what seemed impossible, and I believe this calls for a celebration.”
