Kaiden’s Point of View

The meeting had been dragging on for far too long.

I leaned back in my chair, my fingers drumming against the polished wood of the table. My patience was wearing thin, and Dalton—gods, Dalton wouldn’t shut up about the new defense strategies he was proposing.

"We need to reinforce the eastern border," he was saying, his deep voice laced with caution. "There have been rumors of rogue movements……"

I barely heard the rest.

Beside him, Caspian sat with his usual calm demeanor, flipping through a list of names. "Five packs have broken the rules this month alone," he muttered, his tone exasperated. "Three failed to pay their tributes, one harbored a fugitive, and another had the audacity to….."

I sighed, rolling my eyes. I don’t have time for this.

All I wanted was to go back home.

To her.

To Avery.

‘Since when has our well-behaved Alpha started behaving like a lovesick boy?’

Slade’s amused voice rang through my head, and I groaned inwardly.

They stood side by side, their celestial robes flowing like liquid stardust, gazing down into the mortal world where Kaiden and Avery were lost in the whirlwind of desire.Venus smirked as she observed the Alpha holding himself back, his touch reverent, his kisses worshipful. She folded her arms, amusement twinkling in her golden eyes."It’s working," she murmured, a knowing smile curving her lips. "Your boy is making a move."Selene nodded but didn’t respond immediately. Her gaze remained distant, thoughtful, as if she were peering beyond what Venus could see.Venus frowned. "Selene?"The Moon Goddess finally spoke, her voice soft but laced with something heavy. "The girl has met her wolf."Venus sucked in a sharp breath, her playful demeanor momentarily faltering. "That means she’s close… close to unlocking her celestial heritage."Selene gave a

My vision adjusted, and the first thing I saw was him.Kaiden’s face was inches away, his features relaxed in sleep, his dark lashes resting against his cheekbones. His messy raven-black hair fell over his forehead, and the soft rise and fall of his chest was soothing. I traced my fingers lightly across his sharp jawline, marveling at how someone could look this breathtaking even while sleeping. He seemed so… peaceful. So unlike the dominant, teasing menace he usually was.I sighed, shifting slightly, but the moment I moved, I realized something.I was trapped in his embrace.Kaiden's strong arms were wrapped securely around my waist, my body pressed flush against his bare chest. Avery’s Point of View The silence in the house was suffocating. I sat on the couch, arms crossed, staring at the door like Kaiden would walk through it at any moment. But he didn’t. It had been hours. I sighed, shifting my position. Was he avoiding me? Did he think I was mad at him? A part of me wanted to be angry, to be upset that he had just left like that without a word. But another part of me—one I hated to admit was more concerned than anything else. I exhaled heavily, running a hand through my hair before glancing at the clock. It was past midnight. No sign of him. I couldn’t sit here any longer. Pushing myself off the couch, I grabbed a light jacket and stepped outside. The cold air wrapped around me, sending a shiver down my spine, but I ignored it as I walked toward the garden. The grass felt soft beneath my feet, and the gentle rustling of the leaves in the night breeze was oddly soothing. I lay down, staring up at the sky. The stars twinkled above, distant and unre

Narrator’s Point Of ViewCelestia RealmThe celestial palace loomed in an endless sky of swirling constellations and golden mists, its marble floors reflecting the light of countless stars. The air buzzed with an energy so thick it was almost suffocating, the weight of divine authority pressing upon the vast chamber.Selene paced back and forth, her silver robes billowing with every frantic step. Her usually composed face was marred with frustration, her celestial glow flickering erratically.Seated on the grand throne of Celestia, Hera observed her with narrowed eyes, drumming her fingers against the armrest in measured contemplation.“Now what?” Hera finally asked, her voice cutting through the heavy silence like a blade.Selene halted abruptly, turning to face the pantheon of gods gathered in the chamber. Her eyes blazed like twin moons.“It’s clear now,” she said, her voice tight with restrained fury. “The Dark Conclave couldn’t get to Kaiden, so they unleashed their creatures on

He has given his life to protect the land we built, the people we swore to defend! And now, when he needs us the most, you all turn your backs on him?”The gods shifted uncomfortably, some looking away, others staring at her with impassive expressions.Hera leaned forward on her throne, her golden eyes locked onto Selene. “And what of the girl?” she asked. “You say he is the guardian, that he has the responsibility to bear the weight of Aethoria. But his mate…” She tilted her head. “She has not awakened, has she?”Selene hesitated for a fraction of a second.Hera’s lips curled.“Then she is the weak link,” Hera stated coldly. “The Dark Conclave knows this. That is why they targeted her. And yet you ask us to help a guardian who cannot even protect his own mate?”Selene’s eyes flared, but before she could

Kaiden’s Point Of ViewThe color drained from her face. Her lips parted, a soft whimper escaping as the full weight of her mistake slammed into her. "N-No…" she whispered, stepping back. I stalked toward her, slow, deliberate, every step like a drumbeat of doom."You touched her," I said, my voice low and deathly calm. "You dared to touch what belongs to me.""She betrayed us!" Maya cried, her voice shrill and broken, desperate now. "She betrayed you!""No," I said simply, as if I were correcting a child's math homework. "You betrayed me." Kaiden’s Point Of ViewThe night was heavy with silence, broken only by the occasional whisper of the wind against the stone walls of the fortress. I stood by the massive arched window of my chambers, staring out at the endless stretch of wilderness beyond. The moon was high and full, casting a silver glow across the jagged landscape, but even its light couldn’t reach the darkness pooling in my chest.Avery.Her name was a prayer on my lips, a ghost in my mind. I could almost see her now — curled up in my bed, clutching my pillow, maybe huffing out a frustrated sigh because I hadn’t returned yet. The thought of her missing me, of her arms open and waiting for me when I returned, wrapped around my heart like a comforting flame. I smiled to myself, a soft, fleeting thing that barely brushed my lips.A sharp knock at the door shattered the fragile moment.I didn’t move. I already knew who it was… the guards. Avery’s Point Of ViewThe weight of exhaustion pressed down on me, my mind foggy and clouded as I settled into Kaiden's bed. I tried to push the worry from my mind, but the darkness in my heart refused to let me rest. I curled up on his side of the bed, inhaling deeply, hoping to feel some sense of peace in his absence. His scent… earthy, comforting, undeniably him, filled my senses, and for a moment, I allowed myself to be lost in it.But the moment of solace was fleeting. My eyes fluttered shut, and before I knew it, I was drifting away. The world around me twisted, fading, until everything seemed to blur together, and the dark void swallowed me whole. Avery’s Point Of ViewThe cool night air brushed against my skin as I stood just outside the house, staring into the dark abyss of the forest. The trees loomed tall and silent, their branches swaying with the wind. I could almost hear them whispering secrets in the night, the rustle of leaves and the occasional distant howl from creatures roaming the shadows. But none of that registered in my mind. My thoughts were a chaotic swirl of uncertainty, fear, and anticipation.Kaiden still hadn’t come back.I’d been waiting for what felt like hours, pacing through the quiet halls of the house, trying to keep myself occupied with anything other than the growing knot in my stomach. He’d said it wouldn’t take long. He promised me it wouldn’t. So why was it taking so long? Why hadn’t he come back yet? What was keeping him?“What's keeping him?” I muttered to myself, barely louder than a whisper, as the weight of my thoughts pressed down on me like an invisible force.I looked up at the moon, its

Not just to the pack… no, that would have been bad enough, but to the whole of Aethoria? The entire kingdom?"How?" I whispered hoarsely, almost to myself. Maya’s Point Of ViewThe rain was tapping against my windowpane, a soft, persistent rhythm that filled the heavy silence of my room. The dim light from the bedside lamp cast a muted golden glow across the room, stretching long shadows along the walls. I sat there on the edge of my bed, my arms wrapped tightly around my knees, staring blankly at the floor.I should've been sleeping. I should've at least tried to rest. But Kaiden’s face haunted my mind, those dark, emerald green eyes, the set of his jaw, the way he looked at me like I was the only person in the world that mattered. Damn him. Damn him for getting under my skin, for making me feel this way.I squeezed my eyes shut, willing the memories away, but it was no use. Every breath I took, every beat of my heart seemed to echo his name. A sharp knock shattered the stillness. I flinched violently, my heart leaping into my throat. My head snapped toward the door. I sat frozen for a second, staring at it as if it might burst open at

Kaiden’s Point Of ViewThe silence after Dalton’s humiliation still clung to the air like smoke. I remained standing at the foot of the throne, arms loosely at my sides, gaze sweeping over the Elders seated before me.None dared speak first.Good.I allowed the silence to stretch, to remind them all who commanded this room—not just by title, but by right. When I finally moved, it was with the slow, deliberate grace of a predator who had already decided the outcome of the hunt."Now," I said, voice low, "let us proceed."Lucia, the eldest among them, cleared her throat lightly. "Your Highness," she began cautiously, "regarding the Luna... have you considered the arrangements for her presentation?"A few Elders nodded eagerly, desperate to move away from the tension Dalton had dragged in. Elder Roman spoke next, voice slightly strained. "It is customary, Your Highness, that the Luna be presented with all honor and grandeur befitting her station.""And perhaps," Elder Winona added quickl
