It was easy to get inside Maddox House; no one could see Amanda and me, not with the vampiric cloak I placed upon us.

I explained everything to Amanda on our way here after she asked about her children. I told Amanda all about Brody and the man he has become – head warrior of the clan and a mighty bear. Amanda expressed how proud she was of her son and then asked about Dania. It wasn’t easy to tell the woman who had not seen her child since the day she was born how perfect she was.

I know everything will be alright once Amanda is back with her family. They will all be just fine.

I led Amanda to Leopold’s quarters and pushed her inside the room. I told her to shower and change and that she’d find all of her clothes still inside the closet.

I explained that I’d be back within the hour. I needed to find and speak with Leopold before bringing him to Amanda. I don’t want the man to walk in and think he’s suddenly seeing ghosts.
