Conan’s P.O.V

A gasp that soon erupted into one that depicted the happiness and joy echoed through the room and if I would be honest, I was happy for Kayla and I was happy that at least she would get off my back and leave me alone. However, when I glanced at Liana, she had a confused look on her face as she lowered her head and ping-ponged her gaze around as if she was trying to place one and two things together.

When I locked eyes with her, a forced smile stretched on her lips as she darted her eyes away from me, and for a second, it made me wish that I could at least have an idea of what could be going through her mind.

I was suddenly taken aback when my mom pulled me into her arms and rubbed me on the back slowly.

“You did good, son. I am grateful that you did well, now the moon goddess has found a reason to join you two together and now the strange people can leave. I am happy for you” She withdrew from my hands with her face filled with nothing but glee.
