Flipping through the pages of the file, I couldn’t help but hiss between my teeth while adjusting my glasses. For the umpteenth time, I have been correcting the same damn thing all over again and at this point, I was more than even frustrated already.

A knock landed on the door that led to my office and I didn’t even need to see the face of whoever was at the door before knowing who the person was.

It was my secretary.

She pursed her lips slightly, taking tiny steps towards me tentatively. The thing was that I didn’t even have the strength to even scream at her so before she could even reach my desk, I flung the file in her direction.

“You don't need to come any closer, just pick that file, return to your desk and pack your things because you are fired!” I said in a calm tone, leaning in the swivel chair while I watched as her bottom lips shook with every syllable that attempted to fall out her mouth.
