Seraphina POV

The moonlight that filtered through the stained-glass windows drenched broken colors on the glacial stone floor, but it couldn't keep out the chill within me. The truth that had burrowed deep within my heart for so many years was about to be let out — and it would lay waste to everything in its path.

I paced the Lycan King's great hall, each step resounding in the silence, a foretelling of the storm that was about to erupt.

Kristine watched me, her bearing easy but her eyes too sharp—sharper, a hawk seeking out its prey. A flash of doubt flashed on her face, hastily suppressed behind a masterful smile.

The secret between us, or the one that she had kept to herself, had loomed like a sword on a thread above us both. Tonight, I would cut the thread.

"Kristine," I said, my voice even but with all the rage that I had saved up for so many years, "we can no longer pretend."

She nodded her head, her smile never faltering. "Pretending?"

"Yeah. Playing like Alpha Hayes's daughter

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    Unveiling the Truth

Fabian’s POVThe footsteps clattered down the great hall, but Fabian barely noticed them. His mind was a storm, all thought mired in the one terrible, overwhelming realization: Seraphina was not the real bride. "She wasn’t who he thought. He balled his fists, his heart racing. How had he been so stupid? How had he not seen through the lies she'd woven around him? But it was another that'd pulled back the curtain and revealed the truth, another that'd figured out her ploy and now here he was, standing amidst his broken heart and his ravenous need for revenge, and he felt nothing but anger.Everything he'd done had been for the sake of revenge on Alpha Hayes and his pack. But now, that fury had no focus. Seraphina had been used in this game and not as a willing participant. She'd lied to him, but not for the reasons he'd thought. It wasn't her fault she'd been used into this role. The reality stunned him. She wasn't the real bride. She hadn't voluntarily gone down that road. She'd been

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    The Blood Moon Curse

Seraphina’s POVNight was filled with tension and the weight of inevitability. The moon loomed over the sky, emitting a haunting glow that would last longer than ever. With the Blood Moon's ominous message of change in the air, they were close to experiencing it.The intensity of Seraphina's energy increased as her heart rate rose. She felt a raw, uncontrolled energy that was not entirely made of pure magic or solely wolf matter. Something else remained within her, but she couldn't quite grasp. It was still burning inside of her. The rawness of her transformation was felt in her skin, and her eyes which were the eyes of their wolf, flashed with fiery radiance.Looking straight at the horizon, Fabian stood tall with his eyes fixed on the sky. Despite the tension between them, Seraphina couldn't help but glance away from him. Why? Not now. Not with a complete breakdown. With an unsteady voice, she beckoned "Fabian" with determination."She had the knowledge that he could hear her.' They

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    Shattered Trust

Seraphina’s POV,The cold stone of the floor pierced deep into my knees as I knelt before him, arms stretched around in shackles, raw in the restraint of my own doing. Everything felt tight and dark. The light seemed to disappear.”Fabian. stood frozen, like he wanted to speak but couldn’t.” summon the power to speak.I felt his eyes on me, but I stayed strong.”. .I felt my heart racing, but I stayed strong and didn’t let the fear show. I needed to hold on. I had to escape from this."You have been quite mysterious, Seraphina," he said at last, his voice smooth and controlled. "And I am beginning to wonder just how much of what you say is actual truth."I stiffened, heart racing. He didn’t accuse me, but his doubt was clear. It cut deeper than I expected.”"I told you all," I said in a steady voice. "I never meant to deceive you. I swear, I never-""Stop!" he thundered, making me flinch before he stepped nearer, his boots ringing patriarchal on the stones. "Do you think I'm dumb? I s

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    Pain, Pleasure And A Realization

Fabian's POV An irritated expression crossed her features and I sighed, pinching my brows as I felt that same irritation as well. Chloe never questioned me. she was never supposed to, but I understood that I owed her an answer.Or some sorts of explanation.Afterall, she had suffered almost the same fate as me in the hands of that girl’s father and our grief, had given us a common ground to stand on. Given us something more – not entirely special, but –She stood to her feet, rounding my desk to stand in front of me. “You know I will never question you,” she said, touching my chest gently. Her fingers roamed down to my lower abdomen and stopped there.“But that girl…” she stared into my eyes, making sure I saw the years of hurt she had to endure. I was sure the memories of that day haunted her as much as they did me. “That girl is the daughter of the man we both loathe. The man who took everything from us… from you.”I closed my eyes. I hated the feeling of being reminded of the past

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    Captive

Seraphina's POVI was cold, exhausted and starving. It was my second day here, but I was already tired. I wasn’t sure I could take it any much longer if it went further than this and Lycan Fabian had promised me a punishment. Was this the beginning of it or was this all of it?Goddess, I hoped this was all. I wasn’t sure my body could take anything more. The guards here weren’t any comfort, unlike the guards at home who would sometimes, sneak food to my cells or sit with me and tell me stories. These ones didn’t care one bit about what happened to me.Whether I lived or died, it didn’t matter to them. In fact, I was sure they were going to be happy if I died. After all, their pack had been destroyed by my father. I saw the look of hatred and disgust in their eyes when they looked at me.Some of them even went as far as spitting on the ground. If they could, I was sure they would spit on me.I was thirsty though. My throat was parched and dry. My tongue had swollen in my mouth to the e

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    Shadows Of Choice

Fabian’s POVFabian's heart raced as he stood in front of the empty room, his breathing shallow, fear rising. Where is she?Seraphina was nowhere to be found. The place where once her presence—her perfume, her body warmth—resounded was now cold and empty. All the effort he'd put into protecting her, all the commands he'd issued, had led him to this: an empty, lifeless room. The fight outside continued on, but within, time stood still. He had let her down." No. " The word was torn from his mouth in a rough breath, but he couldn't force himself to accept it. He couldn't let it happen. He wouldn't.The Blood Moon was full, its bloody glow giving everything a sinister sheen. Fabian spun around, rage and fear tangled in his coffin, and slammed out of the house. His mind struggled where would she flee? What could have driven her down from him when danger was so close?Seraphina's legs seared as she ran through the thick forestland, the cries of the battle growing distant but always audible

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    Bound To The Past

Fabian's POVIt was a dream. And yet, I knew that much. Still, I couldn't help the strange feeling of fear in my chest. The tightening sensation that had me wondering if I was going to puke my intestines all over the floor.I heard my mother's voice."Come on in, folks." She whispered.I frowned and scowled, my thoughts with suspicion as I fell asleep, not knowing what was going on and why my mother was requesting that we go out of the house at night. The reason my sister was lying on her back was more puzzling as well. She sat down next to my sister, lightly patting me on the shoulder.Despite my extremely young age of only seven, I still felt like crying out loud, "Mom, what are you doing?"My mom was swaying and tense, sitting on her back sometimes, waiting for someone to come out of the shadows. She was so full of energy. My eyes widened as I thought of asking my papa where she was.Pumping her fist and with a finger in her cheek, she realized that things were not as normal and op

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    Beneath The Beast

Seraphina's POV,The darkness pressed in, suffocating, unyielding. The cold gravestone bottom beneath me had come familiar in its atrocity, but the pain in my body had long since dulled into commodity colder, commodity further disorienting. The air felt thick with silence, each alternate stretching, each breath coming harder than the last.I had not slept. The night bled into eternity, repeating itself like a circle of torment the poke, the silence, the concave regard of Fabian’s eyes. His gaze haunted me, an imprint I could not escape. I did not cry anymore. The tears had long dried up, just another casualty of the endless waiting.footsteps, steady and slow. They carried his weight like a warning. The cell door sobbed opened, the sound too familiar now.Fabian entered alone. No Chloe. No guards. Just him.For a moment, we never said a word to each other. The anxiety in the air was so thick I could sense it, a silent war between us. His eyes narrowed as he took in the state I was in,
