Fabian's POV

An irritated expression crossed her features and I sighed, pinching my brows as I felt that same irritation as well. Chloe never questioned me. she was never supposed to, but I understood that I owed her an answer.

Or some sorts of explanation.

Afterall, she had suffered almost the same fate as me in the hands of that girl’s father and our grief, had given us a common ground to stand on. Given us something more – not entirely special, but –

She stood to her feet, rounding my desk to stand in front of me. “You know I will never question you,” she said, touching my chest gently. Her fingers roamed down to my lower abdomen and stopped there.

“But that girl…” she stared into my eyes, making sure I saw the years of hurt she had to endure. I was sure the memories of that day haunted her as much as they did me. “That girl is the daughter of the man we both loathe. The man who took everything from us… from you.”

I closed my eyes. I hated the feeling of being reminded of the past

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    The Final Blessing.

Seraphina’s POVThe air felt weird and still though heavy like something was waiting.Everything we’ve been through has brought us here, this moment and this was the moment for the final blessing. the one matters most, that decides if Fabian and I can really lead. If we’re strong enough to hold all of this together. If the gods are still with us.The war ended but it didn’t really end, People are still hurting and the land still feels off, like it’s tired. and like it remembers too much about whatever unfolded in the past.I don’t know what today will bring but l was hopeful that something’s going to shift, either we’re chosen or we’re not.I didn’t know if things would ever really heal, maybe they wouldn’t or maybe some wounds are just meant to stayed open and today felt different. Today was the moment everything could shift. If the blessing came… it would seal it, our place and our future. Everything we’d fought for. And if we’re not... I don’t know what comes next.I could feel th

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    The Return Of The King

Fabian’s POVThe war ended, but the pain didn’t. It’s still there on the walls, In the streets and in people’s eyes. Like something’s missing, like it won’t ever really go away. No one came out untouched. The sun was sinking, stretching heavy shadows over what was left behind. Our people had made it through… but at what cost? What were we now, after all the pain, all the loss? What was left of us, of the kingdom we once believed in?I stood there staring at the throne, it didn’t feel right and I thought this was what I wanted all along maybe it was. But now… I don’t know anymore. Now I’m just tired and it doesn’t feel like victory. It feels like everything I lost to get here is louder than the win. Now it just feels so off and cold, like it’s not mine or like it costs more than I expected. The gold still shines, but it doesn’t mean much anymore. The kingdom was wrecked, but not lost people though tired and hurt but still breathing. They were still here. And it not just about rebuildin

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    The Kingdom Reborn

Seraphina's POVThe sun was fading, low and tired, as though the world hadn’t figured out how to move on yet. The war was over. But the damage... it was everywhere. This place had once been full of life now it felt like a memory full of hope. Now it was quiet and it’s just broken. Despite the destruction and damaged structures, there was a stillness to be found beneath the surface and a quiet wish and small ember of hope that had endured the darkness. .I stood at the edge of it all, silent, watching the broken shape of the city shift beneath tired hands. A few men moved the wreckage one piece at a time and others knelt beside the wounded, whispering words they probably didn’t even believe to soothing and comfort them, their arms were streaked with blood and dirt on their faces. The cries in the streets didn’t just echo, they stuck with me. Not just as noise, but as something I will always remember in my memory. We'd survived yes but at what cost? The kingdom had suffered, but we had

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    The Shattered Peace

Fabian's POV. The battle had ended. In my opinion, it did. The eerie silence that had once enveloped the sounds of battle, steel and death was now completely gone. Wind whispered about the past struggle, brushing against the blood-soaked earth. The weight of the moment was too much to articulate. Victory was a relief, but it left void. What could have been hoped for? From the brink of battle, I gazed upon those ruins. Scattered across the ground, earth warmed by shattered grass and scorched by fire. Friend and foe, silent witnesses to the madness that had just occurred, lay scattered. The kingdom had achieved victory, but what was the price tag? I witnessed Seraphina standing next to me, her tiredness and sorrow covering her face. But just like everyone else, she was heartbroken. I couldn't quite put into words, "Is it over yet?Looked back at her with a heavy heart. Our collective experience of death, betrayal, and pain was unique. The aftermath of this conflict left us with a fe

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    The Battle For Eternity.

Seraphina's POV. The sky had disappeared, a dark and oppressive color that seemed to shatter the light above it.My own earth was sobbing, its skin shattered and scarred by the interminable war. Many had paid the price for their defiance as the war had persisted for an extended period. There was one last opportunity for us to fight in the midst of all this destruction. The last stand. The contest that would bring about the kingdom's triumph. My eyes were fixed ahead, sword in hand, and I stood on the battlefield. I witnessed Fabian standing with his face down and shoulders, unable to show any signs of injury or fatigue. Sharpened eyes were the same as mine, indicating the burning desire inside him.We had experienced a terrible situation before, but now, at this very moment, it was all about death. Their leader, who was both mysterious and dangerous, had assembled among the rogue forces. They left. But when they came back, it was clear they were here to finish us off.I was torn up

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    The Final Hour.

Fabian's POVIt was the moment everyone awaited. The kingdom's future was uncertain. The conflict began with the roar of war breaking through the sky. Each person, nation, and creature in the realm had endured countless hardships to reach this place. Fabian stood on the blood-soaked earth and felt the entire mass of it pressing down on his chest. This was it, the final hour.Around him, chaos reigned. The scream of soldiers hit the ground, the steel-encrusted war echoing through the air. With his eyes fixed on the battlefront, Fabian observed Seraphina's enmity towards the enemy. They were the last hope for the kingdom, and they now had to bear the weight of their labor, loyalty, struggles and love. The rebels rushed forward, panic in their eyes, but too far in to turn back. They were set on tearing down anything that stood in front of them. Fabian’s chest tightened as he looked at Seraphina. She stood next to him, drained and bleeding, but she didn’t waver. Their eyes met. He saw i
