I met my fated mate in the worst place possible. A club overrun by rogue wolves. He saved me and I fell in love with him. But fate isn’t kind. My mate is Alejandro Rossi. The man who was supposed to marry my mother. The man who vanished after catching his father and my mother in bed on their wedding eve. There’s a chance Alejandro is my brother. If it’s true, the Moon Goddess has made the deadliest mistake. If it’s false, our love is still forbidden. Is our love truly forbidden? Or did the past lie to us all?

The night was supposed to be perfect.
Tomorrow, I would take Elisabetta as my Luna, my mate, my forever.
I, Alejandro Rossi, Alpha of the Garcia Pack and heir to the Rossi wine empire, had everything. Power, wealth and the love of my life.
Until one phone call cracked the foundation of my world.
“Ale… I won’t make it tonight. I’m really sick, brother. I’m sorry,” Giovanni’s voice rasped over the line.
I frowned, tightening my grip on the phone. “What are you talking about, Gio? You’re my best man. You can’t miss my bachelor’s night.”
His breathing was ragged. “Forgive me, Ale. I can’t stand it. I can barely walk ” His words faded into silence.
“Rest then,” I sighed, disappointment tugging at my chest. “We’ll talk tomorrow. Thanks, brother.”
“Yeah… you’re the luckiest man alive, Ale. Don’t forget that.”
The call ended, but something, something itched beneath my skin.
I shook it off.
I needed Elisabetta. Just one touch from her would calm this storm.
The Rossi villa buzzed with life. The wedding eve party roared downstairs, but I barely noticed. I searched for Elisabetta through the sea of guests. She wasn’t there.
“Where’s Elisabetta?” I asked a passing omega.
“She said she was going to rest, Alpha.”
Relief softened my chest. Of course. Tomorrow’s a big day.
I took the stairs two at a time, my wolf pacing eagerly beneath my skin, desperate to see our mate.
But then I heard it.
Moans.
At first, I smiled. Even after all these years, my parents still can’t keep their hands off each other? I thought to myself.
But as I moved closer to the master bedroom, the female voice laced with soft cries of pleasure became painfully familiar.
“Elisabetta…”
Her name trembled from the lips of my father, the Alpha King himself.
My blood turned to ice.
No. No, this isn’t real. This is a nightmare.
I shoved the door open, heart banging in my chest.
There she was.
My mate, my destined Luna, my promise forever.
In my father’s arms, naked. Laying beneath him, gasping his name.
Time collapsed. My heart ripped apart inside me.
“Elisabetta?” My voice was strangled, disbelieving.
Her sapphire eyes, the same ones that once looked at me with pure devotion widened in terror.
“Ale...Wait, please, it’s not what you think.”
My father paled, the mighty Alpha King reduced to a guilty coward.
“Son. Alejandro !!!”
“Don’t call me that!” I roared, my wolf clawing savagely at my chest, demanding I tear them apart.
“You…” pointing my fingers at him, my hands trembling. “You are my father! My Alpha! How could you? How could you do this to me?”
Elisabetta scrambled toward me on her knees, desperation flooding her scent. “Please, please, listen to me! It's not what you think. I didn’t mean to”
“You didn’t mean to spread your legs for my father?” My voice cracked, venomous, my soul splintering with every word. “You’re my mate! The moon goddess chose you for me!”
Tears streamed down her face. “I I was confused! He’s the Alpha King! I had no choice, she said between tears.”
“You chose power over me,” I whispered, my voice dead, hollow. “You chose him.”
Her sobs echoed in the grand room as I stepped back, my wolf howling in agony, betrayed and bloodthirsty.
“It’s over,” I said, my fangs threatening to snap through my gums. “The mating ceremony is off.”
“Ale, please …”
“Enough!” My roar shook the walls.
Without another word, I turned and walked away from the pieces of my shattered life.
My mother rushed to me as I descended the stairs, panic in her eyes. “Alejandro? What’s wrong? Where’s Elisabetta? Everyone is waiting.”
I couldn’t look at her.
“Call off the wedding.”
Her lips parted. “What? No. What happened?”
“She was in bed,” I whispered, my heart barely able to beat, “with your husband.”
Silence.
My mother staggered backward, clutching her chest as if the words physically struck her.
“No… no, that can’t be.”
“I saw them.” It was the only thing I could say.
I kept walking, ignoring her desperate cries, ignoring the pack members who called after me, ignoring the world that suddenly made no sense.
The next morning, the news hit like wildfire.
The Alpha heir called off the wedding.
His mate slept with the Alpha King.
The disgrace of the Garcia Pack.
Whispers, stares, pity and mocking laughter was what I received from people.
They said I was cursed.
That the moon goddess had forsaken me.
But the worst was far from over. Another betrayal came weeks later.
Giovanni. My best friend and brother in all but blood got married to Elisabetta. My mate.
They left the Garcia Pack and joined the Silver Claw Pack, far away from the ashes of what they destroyed.
My wolf mourned for her. But I refused to. I buried her. I buried them all.
Eight moons passed and I had stayed hidden, unable to carry out my plans of leaving the pack because of my mother. Though I was ready to leave. Ready to abandon everything tied to their memory, then fate struck again.
An accident happened. Giovanni died instantly, while Elisabetta fell off the car while it summersaulted, before it burst into flames and plunged into the river. Passersby helped Elisabetta, who was in a bad state and rushed her to the hospital.
She survived long enough to give birth to her child and died afterwards.
The daughter of betrayal, the daughter of my father.
I was torn between feeling sorry and feeling vindicated for what had just happened to Elisabetta and Giovanni.
That evening, when my father heard of the accident, he decided to go claim his child. When he brought her into the Rossi villa, I saw her.
I took one long last look at her, trying to suppress the emotions welling up in me, and I turned away.
That was all I needed to make up my mind.
But am I really going to abandon my whole life, my Pack, my investment in the company and my title, just because of my father’s betrayal?
Chapter 41 – Fate's Cruel Twist Gabrielle’s POV It had been hours since we crossed the last checkpoint, but my heart was still beating like I had war drums inside my chest. The woods were quiet.Too quiet. The only sound was the occasional sound of tires over gravel and the tired creaking sound of the car, as Giovanni drove us deeper into nowhere. The forest thickened, trees closing in like guardians protecting secrets.I glanced at him.His knuckles were white on the steering wheel. His shirt was soaked with blood, some of it dried, some still fresh. His jaw was clenched like he hadn’t unclenched it in hours.“You’re hurt,” I said softly.“I’ve had worse.”“But—”He cut me off with a glance. “We’re almost there.”“Where are we?” I asked.“Part of the Silver Claw pack.” He said. Minutes later, we pulled into a small, overgrown clearing. A narrow wooden cabin stood in the middle. It was old and silent. Like a place even the wind didn’t bother visiting anymore.Giovanni shut off the
Chapter 40 – A night that never happened Alpha Rossi’s POV I stopped at the entrance of my villa, the guards straightened instantly. My eyes narrowed on the soldier closest to my car.“You,” I barked. “Anything unusual while we were gone?”He stiffened. “No, Alpha. There was no movement at the gate, and no calls came in either.”“Good.” I signalled for him to come closer, lowering my voice to almost a whisper. “Did my Luna ask for me?”He hesitated and I became uncomfortable. My eyes darkened. “Did she?”“She… she asked once, Alpha. She said she had a strange feeling, but a servant distracted her by letting her know her tea was ready and she went to bed shortly after.”The sleeping drug. It must’ve worked.Still, something crawled under my skin.I don’t like whenever she starts having “feelings.” Whenever she starts saying this, she starts to dig into secrets that are way beyond her. It makes her suspect everything I do and I am not ready to go through the torture of hiding anything
Chapter 39 – Before DawnAlpha Rossi’s POVThe moon had hidden low behind the trees, and the air was thick with blood, sweat, and the stench of failure.I stood at the hospital’s east entrance, reminiscing on all that went wrong. My claws were still half extended, my fangs itching to tear out the throat of the incompetent fool who let her slip through our hands, and I was going to do just that. The moment I stepped back into the hospital, bloodlust coated my tongue hungrily. My claws twitched at my sides, barely restrained. The hallway reeked of antiseptic, fear... and betrayal. She was gone. And someone in this building knew how.Gabrielle didn’t escape on her own. How could she have escaped this hospital without help? She was bound, gagged and pregnant.Which meant someone helped her.And someone was going to die for it.My boots echoed through the hall, each step thunderous and slow. Soldiers parted with their eyes lowered, their hearts pounding loud enough for my wolf to hear.
Chapter 38 – The Road to Freedom Gabrielle’s POV We were barely a mile into the forest when the lights hit us.Headlights from another car.Giovanni cursed and killed the engine, turning sharply into the edge of the forest road. His jaw clenched as the lights grew brighter in the rearview mirror.“Shit. Patrol car.”I looked up from where I lay in the backseat, covered in a worn brown blanket and empty supply bags. My body screamed from exhaustion, my ankles were swollen, my lips chapped, and my stomach twisted with hunger and nausea.“They’re going to stop us.” Giovanni reached behind, covering me properly. “Whatever you hear, just don’t move. Don’t make a sound. You hear me?”I nodded. My chest was tight, and my breath shallow. I peeped a little bit through the tinted glasses and I saw the patrol SUV drive slowly towards us, then stop.I hid immediately, so I wouldn't get caught, but I heard the doors on both sides of the car open, which means it wasn't just one person. “The Car
Chapter 37 – GoneMr Rossi’s POVThe lights flickered back on.I blinked hard, adjusting my eyes to the sudden brightness, the surgical room was now too bright, and Gabrielle was nowhere to be found. “Where the hell is she?” I roared, turning in circles. My heart stopped beating and for a second, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. My wolf went into full blown beast mode. The doors were wide open, and her footwear was still beside the operating table. The soldiers looked at one another and froze. One gripped his rifle too tightly, while another took a cautious step back, his eyes looking at the exit like he was calculating how fast he could run before I ripped his throat out.Sweat formed beads on their foreheads, and I could taste the fear in the air.One of them dared to speak, his voice almost like a whisper.“She escaped… during the blackout—”Crash! The nearest tray of surgical tools went flying as I threw it across the hallway. The others looked at him in horror, as i
Chapter 36 – A baby worth saving Gabrielle’s POV That morning, I knew something was off. Nana went to help Mrs Rossi a day before and told me she wouldn't be coming back home, but she made sure I was fine, and I had everything I needed to make me comfortable. I slept off early and was awakened by the sound of cars coming into my condo. I was scared and I quickly put on better clothes because, if the security at my gate had allowed them in, then I know for sure that's the devil. The way the guards shuffled in and the way Rossi’s jaw tensed when he entered and didn't see me at first, got me scared. But I couldn’t keep quiet anymore, because of how uncomfortable pregnancy is, and I was caught. Then he grabbed me by the arm, shoved a gag into my mouth and tied my wrists so tight I thought my bones would snap.“You’re almost due for childbirth. And we can't let that happen, because we both know that child is Alejandro’s," he muttered under his breath. “This ends today.”I screamed for
