Chapter 20: Don't Command me to Choose

Dalmi didn't know, but she even got more annoyed at Carden when she heard that whisper. She asked herself whether this man wanted her to tie her hair instead of letting it down because the woman looked gorgeous with it or no.

Her face contorted and suddenly felt like she lost her appetite. She threw the girl a momentary glimpse before standing up.

"Where are you going?" Carden asked, startled at her sudden move.

"To the bathroom," Dalmi answered. She flipped her hair and walked past the table while rolling her eyes.

And the man didn't even offer to accompany her! Just the thought of him choosing to talk with the girl instead of providing her guidance made her grit her teeth.

"But it's not like I need it; I'm a strong independent woman," she told herself and put down her black handbag on the tile part of the sink. She wiped a brown-orange lip tint in her lips, trying to wash away the paleness of her skin before reaching for the silk scrunchie on her
