Chapter Seventeen
Annie took a break from attending to her customers when it was almost lunchtime. She wanted to rest a little and of course, find something to eat.
As soon as she stepped into her office, her phone buzzed, indicating a message just came in. She took it out of her pocket and smiled as soon as she saw the message was from Eric.
“As promised I got lunch covered for my angels. The delivery guy is waiting outside, go get your lunch from him. Take care.” Eric.

Though the dress showed a little cleavage, it showed it decently. He was so damn proud of her and couldn’t wait to show her off to the world tonight.

“So I take it that you had fun at the event?” Eric asked on their way home.“Honestly, I did.” She smiled at him. “I was expecting it to be boring but it wasn’t.”The rest of the drive was silent. The last thing Eric remembered before they fell asleep was him wrapping his arms around Annie’s waist and Annie snuggling closer to him.He woke up when he felt her untangling herself from him. She didn’t do it gently but with force and ran into his bathroom and what followed was the sound of Annie puking her guts out.He got down from the bed and went to check on her. You know I’ll do it when I come back.” Nora said as she entered the kitchen with three grocery bags and a wobbling Nano behind her.“Honestly I didn’t want to but Annie wanted us to do the dishes together.” He pointed to Annie who was wiping her hand with a napkin.“Hi.” Annie greeted Nora.Nora smiled at the sweet child who had captured her son’s heart.
