The training yard still smelled of blood.

It didn’t matter that the healers had scrubbed the stones until their hands bled, or that the torches had burned all night to chase away the stench.

It lingered. Metallic, sharp, sour it clawed its way into my lungs with every breath, a reminder of how close I came to losing Cael.

My wolf wouldn’t rest. He paced inside me, growling, restless, demanding vengeance.

But vengeance doesn’t heal wounds. It doesn’t bring back the steady sound of Cael’s breathing in the dark when I can’t sleep.

It doesn’t erase the image of him lying in his own blood while my hands shook, carrying him to the infirmary. That image goddess, it will haunt me forever.

The guards dragged the prisoner before me. Just a boy. Too young, too thin, trembling so badly I could see the rope dig into his wrists. He could barely meet my gaze.

They said he’d been seen fleeing after Cael collapsed. And yet, looking at him, I couldn’t see a killer only a terrified youth caught in

  • Bound by the moon   Does he

"Did you forget you killed your father, A man of virtue who had died trying to protect you" "Omegas like you do not belong here especially as our Luna lunavara deserves better" "We do not need a killer as our Luna my king and you should break the bond you have with him" "Besides our land is healed and he has fulfilled his mission here as your mate" "I agree my king the prophesy has been fulfilled so he means nothing to us" Why are these elders saying this about me, do they really want me out, is this what Thorne thinks as well. Does he agree with them? Why is he not saying anything "I Thorne king of lunavara reject you Cael of Rose circle pack......." "No, no Thorne, please stop it, Thorne look at me pls stop for the sake of our pups please...." The pain is too much I can't I I can't brea...th Thorne why aren't you looking at me Why are you breaking our bond? Jolting up from the nightmare that plagued me the first thing I felt was pain. Not sharp, not screaming, but

  • Bound by the moon   No longer safe

The infirmary stank of blood and burning herbs. My mate’s blood. Cael’s breath hitched in shallow rhythm, every rise of his chest a fragile miracle. He should have been safe. He should have been untouchable under my protection. Instead, he bled in the very heart of Rosel’s territory.I forced myself to step back from his bedside before my rage suffocated the healers. My hands were still crimson, trembling not with fear but with fury. The weight of every watching eye pressed on me as I left the chamber. Guards, advisers, warriors, none dared meet my gaze.Rosel was waiting in the hall. Not by chance. I am very much aware of that. Her gown shimmered with deliberate ease, a mockery of grace as her lips curved into that practiced smile.“Thorne,” she purred, her voice silk threaded with steel. “How unfortunate that such tragedy should fall upon your… mate… while under my roof.” she said. Her words dripped with courtesy, but her eyes lingered on the infirmary door, and I knew her mean

  • Bound by the moon   my mate first

It was supposed to be Cael’s gift day.I’d been waiting for this moment, the day his body finally recovered enough to stand in the ring without flinching, without stumbling. He’d earned it. The last stretch of training had stripped him down to the bone, and yet he endured, stubborn as ever. When he stepped into the training centre, the scent of his determination filled the air. My chest swelled with pride. My omega, my mate, was whole again. They paired him with Bradwin, Rosel’s left hand. A brutal opponent, but fair. I watched as they circled each other, movements sharp and deliberate. Cael fought like his life depended on it, and in a way, it did. His strikes landed cleaner than I’d ever seen, his stamina stretched longer than it should have. Every blow was a promise that he wasn’t weak, that he wasn’t just surviving, he was thriving.I couldn’t have been more proud. When the spar ended, I asked to replace Bradwin for the final match. I wanted to test Cael myself, to feel the str

I reached the guest room assigned to Thorne, but before I could push the door open, something sharp tugged at my senses.A scent.Rosel’s scent. A scent that has haunted me enough for a while now.It hung faintly in the air, drifting from the direction of Thorne's bedroom. My stomach clenched, my instincts recoiling as if I’d touched fire. Why was her scent here? Why in our space? Did she come here to make do her promise?Forcing my shoulders straight, I entered. Thorne stood by the mirror, adjusting his shirt as though he had nothing to hide. Still, doubt gnawed at me.“Hey, babe,” I greeted, trying for lightness I didn’t feel. “What’s good? How are you feeling?”He glanced at me with that easy warmth of his. “I’m fine. Better than before, actually. You look exhausted. Training must’ve been rough.”I gave a humorless laugh. “Rough doesn’t even cover it. It was more than I could handle… but it’s what I have to do, right?”Thorne’s expression softened as he crossed the room and p

The training yard smelled of dust, sweat, and iron. The morning sun was already harsh, beating down on the backs of recruits as they lined up. No rank, no status just bodies learning how far they could push themselves. However the Alphas and betas had it better and it made me want to be one so bad. But it doesn't really matter I thought no position is easier for anyone.“Breathe through it,” the instructor barked, pacing with the whip-crack authority of someone who’d done this too many times. “If you burn out too soon, you’re no good to your pack in battle.”The whistle shrieked, sharp and merciless, and my body obeyed before my mind could argue. Joining the other omega's who were already training.Feet hit the dirt. Arms pumped. Breath tore through my throat like fire. Around me, the others moved forward, their strides easy, confident, but mine, mine felt like dragging stone behind me.The ground was hard, sun-baked, and each step sent shockwaves up my legs. By the first corn
