First Person’s Perspective

Elena

I was sitting in the garden behind the east wing, tucked away from the rest of the house, where the wind whispered to the trees and the birds dared to sing. It was the only place that ever felt remotely mine. A little sanctuary carved out of a house that was too big, too cold, and too full of secrets.

The sun didn’t blaze today—it merely glowed, gentle and distant, like it too didn’t want to intrude. The grass was damp with dew, but I didn’t care. My dress was already wrinkled from sitting too long in the same spot.

Cloud, the kitten with curious eyes, was chasing Stone, the puppy who still hadn’t figured out how to run straight. They tumbled over each other, rolled in the grass, and yipped like they didn’t know the world could be cruel.

I laughed softly.

It was the kind of laugh that felt strange coming out of my own throat. Like I’d forgotten how to do it naturally. I placed my hand over my mouth, wondering when I had started being afraid of my own h

First Person’s PerspectiveElenaAll the heat in my body rushed to my face. I froze. His eyes—those deep, sharp eyes—were locked on me.He was lying back on the bed, one arm propped beneath his head like he was the king of this world, the other resting casually on his stomach. And he wasn’t even trying to hide that he was staring. No. He looked at me with full, unfiltered attention. Like I was the only thing in this room worth seeing. Like I was the prize he’d been waiting for.I wrapped my arms around my torso as if that could conceal the thin silk nightgown clinging to my skin. It was soft, ivory, and barely reached my thighs. I had picked it because it was comfortable… not because I expected him to see me in it. Certainly not like this.“So…” His voice was low, smooth, like velvet brushing across bare skin. “This is what you’ve been hiding beneath all those baggy clothes?”I swallowed hard. My throat was so dry, it hurt. My chest was rising and falling too fast. I didn’t know what

  • Bound to Alpha Salvatore    CHAPTER 63

First Person’s PerspectiveElenaThe room they gave us for the night was big. Too big. It had soft lights, heavy curtains, and a large bed right in the center. The kind of room meant for royalty, or lovers. The kind of room that echoed with expectations. My steps were slow as I walked in. My heels made soft thuds against the rug lined floor, but I barely noticed. My mind was still stuck on what I had heard during the coronation. Those elders… what they said… about Ron…It kept playing in my head like a broken melody. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. My stomach felt tight, like a knot had formed and refused to unravel.Salvatore walked behind me, calm as always. When we entered the room, he gently closed the door. I heard the soft click as he locked it.That sound echoed louder in my chest than it should have.I stayed near the edge of the bed, standing still, my arms crossed tightly. My eyes stayed on the floor, tracing the patterns in the rug. I didn’t even bother sitting down.He

First Person’s PerspectiveElenaThe grand hall was too quiet. The kind of quiet that made my skin itch. I sat at the piano, staring at the black and white keys like they might bite me. I didn’t know how to play—not really. But I pressed a key anyway. A sharp note rang out, too loud in the empty room. I pressed another. And another. No rhythm, no song. Just noise. *This is stupid.* But I didn’t stop. Maybe if I kept pressing keys, I’d forget about everything else—about Percy’s cold stares, about the whispers in the pack, about the fact that I didn’t belong here. Then the door creaked open. I flinched, my hands freezing over the keys. A maid stood there, her eyes wide like she hadn’t expected to find me here. “I—I’m sorry,” she stammered. “I didn’t mean to disturb you.” I shook my head. “You didn’t.” She hesitated, then took a step forward. “Do you… want to learn?” I blinked. “What?” “The piano,” she said softly. “I can teach you. Just a little.” I should’ve said

  • Bound to Alpha Salvatore    CHAPTER 61

First Person’s PerspectivePercyIt had been over three weeks since my father was buried.Three weeks of crying, three weeks of carrying a heavy heartI struggled to keep this secret because I was scared of what Ron might to do meThe castle had gone quiet since the funeral—eerily quiet, like even the walls were trying to forget him. The rooms that once echoed with his footsteps now carried only silence. The servants spoke softer. The guards moved slower. The laughter that once flowed freely through the corridors had vanished.Everyone was trying to move on.Everyone except me.Because I couldn’t.Because I knew. Not just that he died. But how.I still remembered the feel of his hands on me that night, the cruelty in his breath, the way he pushed me to the bed and hissed for me to stay silent. I remembered the panic clawing up my throat. The bruise on my thigh. The ache in my soul.I didn’t cry when they lowered him into the ground.I felt… nothing. And yet, now, I felt everything—all

First Person’s Perspective PercyI didn’t know how long I stood there. My eyes were wide. My hands shook. My mouth was open, but no sound came out. My feet were rooted to the floor, and all I could see was my father—choking, falling to the ground with blood pouring out of his neck. The sword was still lodged in his throat. His hands weakly reached for it. His mouth opened and closed, but no words came out. Only gasps… and blood. And then my eyes moved—slowly—to the man holding the sword.Ron.My husband. The man I once promised to love. The man who now stood there, drenched in my father’s blood. Breathing hard. His eyes wild like a beast cornered and desperate.I should have screamed. My heart was screaming. My soul was screaming. But before I could gather breath, his hand shot up and clamped over my mouth.“Don’t. Don’t even think about it,” he hissed.I struggled, fists pounding against his chest, legs kicking wildly. But he was stronger. Fueled by adrenaline, panic, or madness, I

First Person’s Perspective Ron“What are you doing in here?”The voice rang loud across the empty throne room. It echoed off the high ceilings and marble walls like thunder, shaking the silence like an approaching storm. My muscles tensed. Slowly, I turned around.Alpha Vax stood by the large double doors, staring straight at me.His figure loomed, still tall and broad despite the years. His face was unreadable, chiseled like the stone pillars surrounding us, but his eyes—they were dangerous. Not angry, not surprised. Just focused, like a predator sizing up prey.I was standing too close to his throne. I had dared to sit in it. My hands had touched the carved armrests, my boots rested on the steps that led to the seat of power. The throne wasn’t just a chair—it was a symbol. Of dominance. Of blood. Of legacy.I waited for him to shout, to rush forward and rip me apart. But then I saw it.He took one step—and stumbled, just a little. His balance shifted. He caught himself quickly, but

First Person’s PerspectiveHermoineI sat on my bed with an open book in front of me, pretending to read. But my eyes weren’t really looking. The words on the page didn’t make sense. They were just black lines swimming in front of me.My mind wasn’t here.It was with Salvatore. What was he doing right now? Was he with her?Elena. That omega girl.He said she was just part of the plan. That once the curse was broken, she would be gone. That she was nothing. Just a tool. A key. A thing he needed to use.But that didn’t explain the way he looked at her now.Didn’t explain why he was dressing her like a queen, taking her to council meetings, standing beside her like they were equals. That wasn’t the plan. That wasn’t what he promised me.I closed the book and leaned back against the headboard, staring up at the ceiling. My room was quiet, but my head was loud. I could hear everything—my thoughts, my doubts, my anger. They wouldn’t shut up.I had tried to do the right thing. I even made a

  • Bound to Alpha Salvatore    CHAPTER 56

First Person’s Perspective RonI stood in the Alpha throne room of the pack, slowly turning around as I took in everything. My eyes scanned the high walls, the beautiful carvings etched into stone, the smooth floors that gleamed even under the dull light, and the grand throne that sat at the far end like it owned the room — like it ruled everything that breathed under this roof. And God, how I wished it did belong to me.This room didn’t just speak of power — it screamed it. From the massive archways down to the worn leather of the throne’s armrest, everything echoed with the voices of Alphas past. With dominance. With legacy.I stepped closer, each movement deliberate, like I was walking into a dream I’d been having for years. My hand reached out and brushed the wall beside the throne. Cold. Solid. Strong. Everything I wasn’t… yet.I moved to the wall where symbols had been carved deep into the stone. Some were old — ancient even. Marks of bloodlines and power. I didn’t know what mo
