True to SJ’s expectation, Carmela didn’t agree on SJ’s challenge that he is willing to undergo a paternity test. After checking with his cousin, Paige, who is an Obstetrician explained to SJ that he can be able to determine if the child that Carmela is carrying is his.
“We have three different ways to test paternity before a baby is born,” Paige explained to him patiently. She looked at SJ, who is listening quietly with his mother beside him as well as his PR and Legal team. “They are as accurate as those performed after a child's birth.”
“One of the three methods is the Noninvasive prenatal paternity test or NIPP,” she continued. “This test analyzes fetal DNA found in a pregnant woman's blood during the first trimester. If Carmela says she is two months pregnant, let’s wait for it to turn three and extract blood.”
