Sunlight bathed the private terrace in warm gold. The view stretched across rolling Sicilian hills down to the distant sea, beautiful enough to feel like a cruel joke. Adrian sat at the heavy iron table wearing the clothes Luca had given him. The soft gray sweatpants and white t-shirt felt too intimate against his skin after what happened in the shower.

Luca sat across from him, relaxed and powerful in his black button down. He watched Adrian with those icy gray eyes while a servant placed plates of food between them: fresh fruit, warm bread, eggs, and cured meats. The servant disappeared quickly, leaving them alone.

“Eat,” Luca said. His voice carried the same calm authority as the night before.

Adrian stared at the food. His stomach twisted with hunger and nerves. “I am not your prisoner to command.”

“You are exactly that.” Luca cut a piece of bread and spread olive oil on it. “And right now my prisoner needs strength. You will need it for what comes next.”

Adrian picked up a fork and stabbed a piece of melon. He ate slowly, aware of every glance Luca sent his way. The bite mark on his neck throbbed under the collar of the t-shirt. Every time he shifted, he remembered the feeling of Luca’s hand stroking him to completion against the shower glass.

“Why didn’t you kill me?” Adrian asked suddenly. He met Luca’s gaze directly. “Your man said your father wanted me dead.”

Luca leaned back in his chair. A faint smile touched his lips. “My father wants many things. I decide what happens in my house.” He took a sip of strong black coffee. “And you interest me, Adrian Vale. Most men beg for their lives. You fight. You get hard when I touch you. You look at me with hate and desire at the same time.”

“I do not desire you,” Adrian shot back.

Luca’s smile widened. “Liar.”

He stood and moved around the table. Adrian tensed but stayed in his seat. Luca stopped behind him and rested both hands on his shoulders. Strong fingers massaged the tight muscles there, then slid down his chest. One hand slipped under the hem of the t-shirt and brushed over a nipple.

Adrian sucked in a sharp breath.

“See?” Luca whispered against his ear. “Your body already knows who it belongs to.”

“I hate you,” Adrian said through gritted teeth. Even as he spoke, his cock was filling again inside the sweatpants.

“Good.” Luca pinched his nipple lightly. “Hate keeps things interesting.”

He pulled Adrian to his feet and turned him around. Their bodies pressed together. Luca was taller, broader, and completely in control. He gripped Adrian’s chin and kissed him for the first time.

The kiss was not gentle. It was possessive and demanding. Luca’s tongue pushed inside, claiming his mouth while one hand slid down to squeeze Adrian’s ass through the sweatpants. Adrian tried to resist for half a second before a low moan escaped him. He hated how good it felt. Hated how his body melted against the mafia heir’s hard frame.

Luca broke the kiss and stared down at him with dark eyes. “You taste even better than I imagined.”

Adrian shoved at his chest. “This is not happening. I am not going to be your whore.”

“You will be whatever I want you to be.” Luca backed him against the stone balcony railing. The drop behind Adrian was steep. There was nowhere to run. “Right now I want you hard and desperate again.”

His hand pushed inside Adrian’s sweatpants and wrapped around his cock. Adrian was already leaking. Luca stroked him with slow, firm pulls while kissing and biting along his neck.

“Look at the view while I play with you,” Luca ordered. “This could be your life. Luxury. Pleasure. Safety. All you have to do is stop fighting what you want.”

Adrian gripped the railing, panting. Luca’s hand felt too good. Too skilled. He stroked him closer and closer to the edge, then slowed down just enough to keep him hanging there.

“Please,” Adrian whispered before he could stop himself.

Luca chuckled darkly. “Please what? Please make you come? Please fuck you? Use your words, little artist.”

Adrian bit his lip hard. He refused to beg. Not yet.

Luca pulled his hand out and stepped back. He left Adrian aching and untouched at the very edge.

“Breakfast is over,” Luca announced. “You will spend the day thinking about what you really want. Tonight I will come to your room again. If you behave, I might let you come properly. If you try to run, I will tie you to the bed and edge you until you cry.”

He turned and walked back toward the villa doors.

Adrian stayed against the railing, breathing hard, cock straining against the sweatpants. He looked at the hills and the high walls surrounding the estate. Escape seemed impossible.

But he had to try.

He would find a way out before Luca could break him completely.

As he followed Luca back inside under guard, Adrian’s mind raced with plans. His body, however, still burned with the memory of those strong hands and that demanding mouth.

The devil had only just begun his game.
