Chapter 13

Harrison

I followed Jay as he drove Eleanor to wherever she was going. I wondered why she was so bent on going. I was in the car while they entered the building. Hours had passed and I didn't see Eleanor or Jay so I decided to take a sneak peek.

The place was crowded so I didn't pass by, instead I went round the house to the poolside. People were there, most were kissing and taking pictures, and others were doing one thing or the other.

And there was Eleanor, sipping a glass of wine at the edge of the pool. I stood at the corner and watched her look around. She was with no friends, neither was she playing a game nor did she look like she was enjoying the party.

Why did she come to the party? I looked away to the other side, but by the time I looked back, Eleanor wasn't there. People were screaming and pointing to the pool, and that was when it struck me that Eleanor had fallen into it
