Winston’s POV

Vanessa’s brunette hair cascaded down her back as she moved against me, soft moans filling the room. Her manicured nails dug lightly into my chest while I gripped her waist tightly, my breathing rough and uneven. She raised her hands up in excitement and flung the pillow across the hotel suite.

Suddenly, I flipped her over onto the soft duvet, pressing her firmly against the bed as another muffled moan escaped her lips into the pillow. The sheets tangled beneath us while the headboard knocked faintly against the wall. Minutes later, the room fell quiet except for our heavy breathing. Both of us lay flat on the bed, trying to catch our breath.

I turned toward her lazily. “I’ve told you to stop texting me whenever I’m with her.”

Vanessa rubbed a hand across her face tiredly. “But she doesn’t even know I’m the one, so we’re good.”

“What if she starts suspecting something?” I asked, narrowing my eyes.

She stayed silent for a moment then scoffed before sitting up slightly. “Why are you even hiding it from her? It’s not like you love her. Men cheat all the time. She’s not the first woman to date a cheating man.” She shrugged carelessly. “She’ll cry and move on. Honestly, I’m tired of being your dirty little secret.”

“Vanessa, slow down,” I muttered. “Ava’s been good to me since we started dating. I wouldn’t like hurting her.”

Vanessa let out a dry laugh. “Oh, but you already did… over and over again.” She leaned closer. “And if she really loves you, she won’t leave even after she finds out. So if you truly want to know how much she loves you… tell her.”

I shook my head immediately. “No, I won’t. That’s just outright wrong.”

Vanessa raised a brow mockingly. “Oh? So now you suddenly have a conscience?” She stared directly at me. “Do you even love me?”

I sighed before pulling her closer. “Vanessa, you know I love you. I wouldn’t trade you for anything.”

“Then why do I still feel like your dirty little secret?” she whispered bitterly.

“Come on, don’t say that,” I murmured softly before pulling her into a slow lingering kiss.

Her phone suddenly lit up beside her, she glanced at the screen. ‘The deal is done, she is hooked and curious. Send my remaining balance tonight.’

A slow, mischievous smile spread across her face, then she turned back to me like nothing had happened.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” I asked, feeling sleepy.

“You know I really miss you at night. Why don’t I come to your house and sleep over?” she said, caressing my chest with googly eyes.

“Vanessa! No… okay, what we do outside is enough.” I removed her hands and turned away.

“Fine.”

I heard her reply faintly.

Moments later, it was already evening when my black car slowly pulled into the driveway of my luxurious apartment.

I stepped out tiredly, loosening the collar of my shirt as I grabbed my suitcase from the back seat. I walked toward the front door.

The moment I stepped inside, the living room was silent except for the faint ticking of the wall clock. I locked the door behind me before carelessly tossing my suitcase aside and flopping onto the couch with a deep sigh. My shoes landed somewhere across the room as I stretched lazily and grabbed the TV remote. A soft glow instantly filled the dark living room as the television flickered to life.

Barely a few minutes later, my phone buzzed loudly on the coffee table. I glanced at the caller ID and groaned softly before answering.

“Vanessa, what is it?” I asked tiredly.

“Babe…” Vanessa’s soft voice came through the phone. “I’m missing you. Can I come over?”

I immediately rubbed my forehead in frustration. “Vanessa!” I said exhaustedly. “You know the house is off limits. Ava can walk in here anytime, and she literally has my keys.”

“Haven’t I hidden it well for two years?” she shot back confidently.

“But we literally saw each other today. Isn’t that enough?” I muttered. “Besides, I give you attention… and money too.”

“You know I’ve been loyal to you,” Vanessa replied softly. “I just want more time with you. I can’t get enough of you.” Her voice lowered slightly. “Please… let me sleep over.”

I closed my eyes briefly before shaking my head. “Vanessa, I can’t risk it. I’m sorry.”

Before she could protest again, I ended the call. The room instantly fell silent again. Then with another exhausted sigh, I stood up from the couch and headed down the long hallway toward the bedroom

Ava’s pov

Earlier today, Peter and I finally arrived at Winston’s house. With the spare key he gave me, we entered inside. My heartbeat pounded loudly in my chest as Peter and I quickly hid beneath a large table near the living room the moment we heard Winston’s car pull into the driveway.

Together, we watched him walk into the house looking exhausted before collapsing onto the couch. Then came the phone call. My heart sank deeper into my stomach with every word I heard.

The moment Winston disappeared down the hallway toward the bedroom, Peter and I slowly crawled out from beneath the table.

“I know Vanessa,” I whispered shakily, my lips trembling with hurt. “That’s his manager. She always gave me this bitchy vibe… but I trusted Winston.”

Peter’s jaw tightened immediately. “So she’s the mystery woman.” he muttered. He looked at me carefully. “What are you going to do?”

I swallowed hard. “I have to confront him.”

Peter suddenly grinned proudly before lifting his phone slightly. “It’s good a thing we agreed to go crazy today.” He said smiling to himself.

“Let’s get out of here and fulfill our bets.”

My eyes widened “Don’t tell me you were serious.”

He smirked. “Or on a more senile level, we could go crazy here.” He said laughing.

“Peter!” My eyes widened. “I’m leaving… it’s really been a long day.” I started walking towards the door.

“I’m joking.” He said laughing as he followed me.

Carefully, the two of us began tiptoeing toward the front door. But suddenly, we heard footsteps. Both of us froze instantly. Without thinking, we quickly ducked behind the couch just as Winston reentered the living room wearing only a pair of shorts. Completely unaware of us, he walked casually toward the kitchen carrying a bowl of chicken sauce before placing it into the microwave.

The second he disappeared into the kitchen, Peter and I rushed toward the door. My shaky fingers scrambled through my bag for the spare key.

“Hurry,” Peter whispered nervously. Just as I tried sliding the key into the lock, it slipped from my fingers and hit the floor loudly. Both of us froze in horror.

Ava’s POV The evening breeze greeted me the moment I stepped out of the building. I leaned on the wall while still waiting for Sophia. Parked by the curb was Peter’s fairly polished Toyota. The driver’s window rolled down, revealing his familiar grin. “So…” he teased from behind the wheel. “Are you going my way?” That was when Sophia stepped outside with her bag. We both looked at Peter, smiling at him through the open car window. “Hi Peter, it was good to see you again.” Then she turned to me. “Bye Ava… see you tomorrow,” Sophia said brightly before turning and starting down the sidewalk. I immediately hurried after her. “Aren’t you going back with me?” I asked. Then my eyes narrowed suspiciously. “I hope this is not about the Peter stuff.” Sophia laughed and shook her head. “Girl, no! I’m actually meeting an old friend today, so we can’t go home together tonight.” I blinked. “But you didn’t tell me about any old friend.” “It’s not a biggie…” Sophia shrugged. “Just

Vindell’s POV We pulled into my mansion, which stood proudly against the evening sky. From the back seat, I stepped out, first, then Kate climbed out from the passenger seat carrying my briefcase. “I want to make a phone call. I’ll join you later.” Kate nodded. “Okay, sir.” Without another word, she headed inside the mansion. I remained outside. The cool evening breeze brushed against my face as I pulled out my phone and dialed Michael’s number. The call connected immediately. “Hey, Vin,” Michael’s voice came through the speaker. “I got some new information on the matter we talked about the other day.” “And what’s your report?” I asked. “Apparently there are many people who need financial assistance in the hospital. But remember, the girl has to look the part. Tomorrow I will…” “There won’t be any need for that.” Michael paused. “What?! Why?” My lips slowly curved upward. “I think I’ve found my catch.” “What do you mean?” “For some reason, I decided to persona

I pushed through the glass doors of the huge luxury store. The moment I stepped into the main showroom, conversations died down. Heads turned, eyes followed me. A few sales associates exchanged glances while others openly stared, and honestly, I looked like I didn’t belong there. My hair was disheveled, strands sticking out in every direction. My shirt was scrunched like someone squeezed the life out of it. There was dirt smudged on one sleeve, and I looked less like a sales manager and more like someone who had barely survived an apocalypse. I immediately felt the weight of dozens of judging eyes pressing down on my shoulders. Unfortunately for me, the CEO of the store had chosen that exact moment to arrive. He had come to finalize a deal with one of the store’s most important customers. The customer was none other than Vindell. Beside him stood his personal assistant, Kate, holding a tablet. They had come to test Carson Wallace’s newest luxury suit collection, which had just

My head snapped sideways from the impact. Before she could land a second slap, I grabbed the bouquet and swung it violently across Vanessa’s face. She staggered backward with a shocked scream. I hit her again. This time the flowers slammed against her shoulder and chest. “Ahh!” she stumbled backward blindly while I continued flogging her furiously with the bouquet, petals exploding everywhere. “You crazy bitch!” she screamed. I struck her again with all my strength. She finally lunged forward and grabbed my hair viciously. I cried out sharply as pain shot through my scalp. “Let go!” I screamed, swinging the flowers wildly again. The bouquet smashed against her arm. I kept hitting her repeatedly, fueled by pure rage while she yanked my hair violently. The short corridor erupted into chaos and flying rose petals. Then suddenly, the elevator doors slid open. Both of us froze instantly. We looked absolutely disheveled. Vanessa’s hair was ruined, mascara smeared beneath h

My fingers trembled slightly as I adjusted the collar of my store uniform. I stepped out onto the sales floor and moved toward my corner quietly. The store was already alive with movement. Shoppers wandered through the aisles, running their fingers across fabrics, holding dresses against themselves while soft music floated through the air. Then I stopped abruptly. My eyes landed on a massive bouquet of red roses sitting proudly on my desk beside expensive chocolates wrapped in gold packaging. A white envelope rested neatly against the flowers. A few salesgirls nearby immediately threw me strange looks, whispering beneath their breaths. I ignored them and slowly reached for the letter. The second my eyes scanned the words written inside, my expression twisted violently. Pure rage darkened my face. Sophia suddenly appeared behind me. “So…” she dragged teasingly, peeking over my shoulder. “Who’s it from? I saw it when I came in this morning and honestly, I was so happy for you.

Peter frowned immediately. “Did you see anything? Then give me my phone.” Winston ignored him completely, still laughing while scrolling through the screen. “Wow…” he muttered mockingly. “Why does my girlfriend’s picture fill up your gallery?” “And why is her name saved with a hundred emojis?” Winston continued tauntingly before looking up at him with amusement. “Are you secretly her boyfriend?” Peter grabbed his phone back sharply. “Next boyfriend,” he corrected coldly. For a second, the room fell silent. Then Winston laughed even harder. He turned toward me dramatically. “Did you hear that?” he asked between laughs. “I kept telling you this guy wanted you for himself, but you kept acting blind.” “She’s not blind,” Peter snapped immediately. “I’ve always been her safe space and somehow, you couldn’t take the title from me… for three good years.” He chuckled. “What a pathetic loser.” Winston’s laughter slowly faded. “Maybe next time you’ll actually learn how to zip
