Liam's POV

He let out a deep audible breath. “I've run out of options as it stands. I need to make enquiries about it,” he said directly opposite of what I expected to hear.

I sighed and clasped my slender hands together as I stared at him. “Are you being serious right now? I sincerely doubt it! What freaking time are you talking about, Norman?!”

“Do you know what today's date is? Or do you want us to lose this project to another team? You're joking, Norman!” my temper flared.

“I've asked you to appoint a competent person to lead this project, and you decided to settle for someone as lazy, unproductive and incompetent as that gentleman. I can't remember his useless name. Better plan well to fix this mess!” I spat out the words contemptuously.

“If accidentally or mistakenly the investors get a clue that our company wouldn't be able to deliver like always…,” I slowly released my breath.
