Brandon POV:
Pythia tilted her head to the side as if she was amused by what Alley had said. "I figured you would be.. bigger, but these two said you were stronger than you appear." She said, earning a few growls from us. I didn't like the tone she had in her voice as she said that. She narrowed her eyes on us but brought her eyes back to Alley. "You see, my mother was a power whore. Wanted it all and didn't care what would happen to her and the rest of us. When word came that you were the great white witch it angered my mother and she wanted your power." Pythia said looking disgusted. "Bosch had come to us wanting to work together but she denied him, she didn't want to share that power, but then I looked into what would happen if she did consume your power." She paused, pinching the bridge of her nose. "She would have literally burst taking all of our kind with her to the after world. You see why I had to kill her and take over?" She asked, "What do you mean she would have burst taking you all with her?" Alley asked. That was a good question, I thought if you are a witch you could do all the magic that comes with it. "We are dark witches with dark magic, if we were to consume white magic it would kill us. Our bodies aren't meant to carry it. Even if a basic dark witch consumes it, it will kill them almost instantly." Pythia replied.
Now that makes sense though, the goddess only gives us what we can handle. "Then I heard of a few dark witches that have been working for Bosch, taking our herbs and potions to aid him so I sent these two to figure out who it was." Pythia added, never once taking her eyes off of Alley. She was a little intimidating. "They must have been working for him for a long time then because the traitor we caught had a ritual held to make her become some sort of seer. It's how Bosch knew about me before I did." Alley said, tilting her head to the side. "Ah yes, the elders, they were asked to do that and they did, they were recently killed but not by our hands." Pythia replied. "What happened to them?" I asked. "Not sure, we were all in a meeting and their necks just snapped." She replied. "Oh shit, were they tied to Bethany?" Emma asked through the link. "When they did the ritual did they tie themselves to Bethany?" Alley asked, now I've got a reaction. Shock registered on her face. "Yes, in order to make a seer it has to be infused with dark magic. How did you know?" Pythia asked. "Well we killed Bethany for her crimes, the woman she hurt the most snapped her neck at a public execution." Alley replied. We didn't know it would kill others but honestly I didn't care.
"Well that answers that. I don't harbor any bad feelings, they knew what would happen, I came to offer peace for now at least. It seems we want to stop the same thing." She said looking at all of us. "That is something we will have to talk about privately. Once we discuss it we will come to you, so long as we stay within our shield we know dark magic can't touch us." Alley replied. "Very well. You know where to find me for now. I bid you a good day." Pythia said before her and the other two disappeared. I was standing in shock at how well that conversation went. "We are going to go back and discuss things, I will keep you two updated. I might need you guys to stay here and watch over the pack." Stephen said, pulling me out of my thoughts. "We can do that. I'm hungry anyways." Alex said, shrugging his shoulders. I looked over at Tye to see he was still staring at where Pythia was standing. I walked over to him, "You alright?" I asked. "Yeah, just an odd feeling." Tye replied. "What odd feeling?" I asked, looking at where they were once standing. "I don't know. I thought I smelled something but I guess not. Anyways, I have a few things to go and check on. I'll see you guys later." Tye said as he turned and walked off. "What was that about?" Alex asked.
I was a little confused if I was being honest. "I am honestly not sure, he is alright though and that is what matters." I said, nudging Alex with my shoulder. "Let's go to that diner and get an order to go. We can at least watch a movie or something." Alex said as we walked across the field. There were times I was overly happy that I was nothing more than a gamma in this pack. Alphas and Lunas take on so much work but when they have to step out it normally falls on the Beta, which is Alex but he always asks for my help, not that I mind. I like to laugh when he gets frustrated over female wolves getting pissy that he won't date them. Honestly, he has never shown any interest in any female, I just figured he was waiting for his mate to show up one day. "What do you think of what Pythia said?" Alex asked. "Man, I don't even know. If she really did kill her mother to save her race then I really don't blame her. I heard her mother was a lunatic." I replied. "Oh yeah, I did hear that too. The whole magic thing is weird to me, probably because I don't understand it." Alex replied as we walked into the diner. "Hey fellas, take out orders again?" Lisa asked, smiling at us. "Yes ma'am our usual." I replied easily.
We didn't have to wait very long for our order to come out, I grabbed the bag while Alex paid. When we walked back outside everyone was running around like they were on a timed schedule. We got back to the house and sat in the living room. I could hear them all talking upstairs but I didn't pay much attention to what was being said, I knew Stephen would come down and tell us when he was ready. "Got a preference on what to watch?" Alex asked. "Nah, just pop in the first thing you find." I replied, digging our burgers out of the bag. We had just started eating when Stephens voice rang out in my head. "We are going to meet Pythia, watch over the pack we will be back in a bit." He said before cutting the line. I assumed it was because they were teleporting there. "I really hope it isn't a trap." Alex said, shaking his head. "If it is they will call to us and we will kill any of them that so much as look at them wrong." I replied. Did we like having to kill people? No. But would we if we absolutely had to? Yes. There was just something about Pythia that made me really want to believe what she was saying.
I don't think she is all that bad but this Bosch dude might be the one to bring us all together, it would be nice to be able to go to new places without having to worry about a vampire or witch trying to attack us but I guess only time will tell.
Leia POV: As we stood still waiting for alpha Scott to really begin I could still see the confusion on some of their faces. This was something that was kept a secret for the most part and now they are all about to find out what really happened. "As we wait for them to be brought out I would like to explain why the Blackwood pack along with the covens are doing here." He said finally speaking. "Leia was once part of this pack until she was not only captured by Bosch but was under what we know as the forbidden magic. To better explain I would like to invite Pythia up." Scott nodded towards her. I could feel my heart racing, there were details that I did not want anyone to know and I knew that Pythia wouldn't bring them up. "Hello everyone, when it comes to the forbidden magic there is a difference, you see we are dark witches are able to use dark magic on a lot of things but the forbidden magic is by far the worst. It has the potential to morph us into different creatures essentiall
Leia POV: I woke up this morning not really sure how I was feeling about what today's events would unfold. We were all curious about how they would react to it. While I washed my hair my mind drifted back to the conversation that took place when we all were sitting around the porch.. **FLASHBACK** I sat on the swing while Ambrosia, Brandon and Jackson followed suit. "So how are you really feeling?" Ambrosia asked. I sat back against the swing and pulled my legs up. "Honestly, I have no idea. I thought maybe I would feel a little better being the one that decides what is going to happen but then I started thinking about how they are going to react, will they try to play on our tempers? Or would they accept it and not cause anymore problems." I replied, shrugging my shoulders. I was leaning more towards them playing on our tempers. "None of us know what is going to happen, I mean when we all grew up we didn't see this side of them." Jackson said and I nodded my head. The
Leia POV: Last night's events were probably the best we have had, we sat around the coffee table watching movies, playing a card game and having a few drinks. For once the stress of everything wasn't weighing on our shoulders. The bones had been sent to Collins territory for further examination but this morning they had called us over to Alley and Stephens to hear the result. "Are you ready?" Brandon asked, standing in the doorway. "Do you really think it's him?" I asked. "I don't know honestly, I think we will be disappointed either way this goes, you'll never have your justice or we found someone else and he is still on the loose." Brandon replied. Even if he did die somehow that is justice within itself and something I will just have to be okay with at some point. "As long as he is out of our lives and can't hurt anyone else then I can make peace with it you know." I said. "I know you will, I guess I just wanted you to have the justice that you deserved." Brandon replied. I cou
Brandon POV: I was beginning to get really frustrated. We had been out here for weeks looking for him and still haven't found anything of his at all. Alley has been popping in and out to bring us food and home to spend what time we can with our mates and for those that have children so no one feels like they have to miss out on anything. We were all growing more and more frustrated each day. One day the scent is hot the next day it's like it doesn't exist at all which sends us in different directions. "What are you thinking about over there?" Alex asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. "I didn't think this would take so damn long, why is his scent all over the place the way that it is, you know. It just doesn't make any sense." I replied, shaking my head. "Well, think about it, when we move around a lot our scent travels to different areas so maybe that is what he did to try to throw us off or something." Alex said and I shook my head. "No, there is something more to it that we are
Leia POV: When Brandon left the room Pythia came over to lay on the bed with me. "So tell me how you are really feeling." Pythia said, grabbing a piece of fruit. "I just feel tired and sore mainly." I replied, shrugging my shoulders. "I never really recovered from training with Ambrosia before the rest happened so I think it's really starting to weigh on me." I added and she smiled. "How is your training with her going? Does anyone else know about it?" Pythia asked. "It's been going good. She hasn't taken it easy on me at all, which I like, but I also taunt her when I feel like she is holding back and she scolds me when I am. She also likes to keep me on my toes, you know last time she left me a note." I laughed and I heard Pythia giggle. "She is always like that. She is one tough lady not many would dare to train with." Pythia replied. "I can see why, she is a little intense but in a good way. No one else knows though, I don't want anyone thinking I am getting some sort of specia
Brandon POV: I didn't know how long I had been asleep but when I opened my eyes Leia was still sleeping. I reached over and grabbed my phone off the night stand to see it hasn't even been an hour. I sighed and looked back down at her, I gently picked up her arms and un-did one of the bandages and noticed that it stopped bleeding and looked like it was starting to heal up slowly. I heard a knock on the door and looked up to see that Pythia had stuck her head through. "Is she still sleeping?" Pythia whispered and I nodded my head. She pushed the door open a little further and walked in with some snacks. "I didn't think you would want to leave her so I brought you some food and drinks." Pythia said with a smile. "Thank you, you didn't have to." I whispered. "Hush, you need to eat and I'm sure she will be waking soon and she will be hungry." Pythia said, giving me a stern look and I had to keep myself from laughing. I knew she wasn't one to tango with but there were different sides to
