Kieran's POV:

The stupid bowtie was choking me.

I tried to loosen it with two fingers while Bernard slapped my hand away like a mother bird defending its nest. I rolled my eyes, but I let go. Not because I cared, but because I knew it drove him crazy when I didn’t.

We had not even reached the damn garden yet, and I could already hear the camera shutters clicking like distant gunfire. Dozens of press outlets had been carefully arranged to "accidentally" catch us during our "private" romantic dinner. The lighting was perfect.

“This is absurd,” I muttered as we turned the corner toward the table.

Bernard walked behind me like an invisible leash. “His Majesty expects good press. You need to play the part.”

“Smile, Your Highness,” Bernard muttered behind me.

I didn’t.

“Brood a little less,” he added.

I turned just enough to glare at him. “Do I look like a puppy up for adoption?”

“You look like you would rather be dead,” Bernard said calmly. “Fix your face.”

Wonderful.

Then I saw her.

  • Bratty Prince And The Bodyguard    You should quit.

Adrien's POV: The moment the door to Kieran’s room shut behind us, the silence curled around my spine like a noose. He dropped his blazer to the floor as though it burned him, his fingers already tugging at the collar like the evening had tried to strangle him.I followed without speaking. Not because I was calm but because if I said the first thing in my head, I would start a war.Kieran moved lazily, shoulders loose with that practiced arrogance he always wore after a public spectacle. He liked to pretend it did not matter. But I had been watching. I had seen his hands shake during dessert, seen the way he avoided Princess Celeste’s eyes when she leaned forward and said, “I will still marry you.”She meant it. And that should have scared him.But Kieran? He only smiled. That same infuriating, mocking curve of his lips that meant he had already accepted being damned. As if that was easier than trying.I leaned back against the wall, eyes locked on his profile. “So that was your bril

  • Bratty Prince And The Bodyguard    You think I am slipping away?

Adrien's POV: Nothing is fine.No matter how many times I tell myself that it will settle down, that the fire will die out, it only seems to burn hotter. The palace is quieter than usual, but it is the kind of silence that screams. There are whispers behind doors, sideways glances from the staff, eyes that linger just a little too long like they are all waiting for something. Waiting for me to break or disappear. But the worst of all is the King. That look he gave me earlier, it is still clinging to me like smoke. Thick and sour and impossible to wash off. I can feel it in the corners of my skin, in the silence after he walked away, in the way my stomach still twists when I think of his voice wrapped in cold politeness but laced with something darker. Something cruel.I stood on the balcony outside my room, one hand gripping the railing, the other wrapped around a cup of tea I did not even want. I needed something stronger, something sharp enough to cut through the memory of today, th

  • Bratty Prince And The Bodyguard    Steamy gay affair.

Kieran's POV: The jet cut through the clouds. I sat by the window, my phone clenched tightly in my hand and I am sure it was on the verge of snapping into two pieces. My thumb kept on refreshing the news page over and over again, even though I already knew what I would find.We were still trending. Pictures of us, all the speculations and how people were talking behind our backs.#RoyalScandal. #PrinceKieranExposed. #BodyguardAffair.I didn’t even click on the articles anymore. The headlines said enough.“Heir to the throne caught in a steamy gay affair.”“Royal disgrace, what now for the crown?”Some of them blurred Adrien’s face. Most didn’t.I gritted my teeth and turned the screen off and threw the phone onto the seat beside me.“You are going to wear a hole through it,” Adrien said from across the cabin.I looked up at him.He was sitting calmly, legs crossed, coffee mug balanced in one hand. His jacket was off. Sleeves rolled and the crease between his brows was subtle, but it

  • Bratty Prince And The Bodyguard    A raging storm.

Kieran's POV: I hesitated… then answered. “Father?”“Kieran,” he said. His voice was sharp and cold. Like a blade and it went straight through my spine. “We need to talk.”And the way he said that I knew. I knew this wasn’t going to be good.“What is it?” I asked, dragging a hand through my damp hair.“You tell me,” he snapped. “Or better, why don’t you open your goddamn browser and search your name.”I blinked. “What?”“Do it.” His voice dropped lower, in fact, meaner. “Right now.”Something twisted in my gut. I walked over to the desk, opened my laptop with shaky fingers, and typed in my own name. The screen was suddenly filled with articles and photos.Of me and Adrien. On the beach. His mouth on my skin. My hands in his hair. The kiss that happened just beneath the cliffs, when I thought we were alone when I was stupid enough to believe the waves would drown out the rest of the world.More pictures followed. Us in the garden. In the courtyard. Me curled into his chest. Him pressi

  • Bratty Prince And The Bodyguard    Do you enjoy driving me insane?

Kieran's POV: I have been cruel to Adrien but I swear that was not on purpose and it was surely not out of hate. How can I even bring myself to hate him? It was just pure neglect and I am not even sure how to make up for it.The last week has been a vicious cycle of guilt, obsession, and self-inflicted silence. I have hurt him without even meaning to. I have hurt myself even more, trying to chase a ghost in the dark. I had closed every door, every window and every soft moment through which he tried to slip through the cracks. I was spiraling and clawing at the walls of Noah’s secrets like they would bleed answers if I scratched hard enough. But all it did was bruise me. Bruise us.Adrien had been quiet all evening. Not angry, just… tired. And somehow that was worse.I heard water running earlier. A soft splash. Adrien was still in the bathroom, probably soaking in a hot bath to unthaw himself from the way I had frozen him out all day.He didn’t deserve that.I stripped off my hoodie
