Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Missy’s lips were temporarily sealed as she found herself speechless with her eyes glued to the huge man towering above her.

The urge to toed herself upward and to kiss that lips of his inundated her desire that eats depth up to her feelings. The need to taste him, to feel what his lips would taste like against her spreading through her system like a wildfire.

But that can’t be done to someone hurting your wrist and inflicting minor pains to your body, plus he’s a psychotic stranger that just proves the reputation given to him is no rumor.

“Please leave me alone.” She pleaded, tired from struggling.

“Are you telling me what to do?” His brows raised at her, daringly as he move them both till Missy’s back was now touching the nearby wall.

Missy kept her lips shut, fearful of what his next action might be, than just gazing up at his intense eyes that shows nothing than a wrath unfolding on her when she has no idea what she did to wrong him.

“Don’t keep quiet when I ask you a question? Is that clear?” He warned, in a slow steady dark voice, before his large palm went up and around Missy’s neck, swallowing it all in a fold and gently applying pressure.

“W-what are you doing?” Missy gasped out, already feeling the impact of his hand folded around her neck.

“You possess the nerve to question me…” he dragged his words, applying more pressure.

Causing a louder gasp to fall out of Missy’s mouth as the choke took a greater effect, her both hands found it way up to his, struggling to remove his hand.

“Get your hands off me or it worsens.” He declared icily, strangling her harder.

“Alright, but please, please please please, stop please. I beg you so much.” Missy begged, sweats foams already covering her face, feeling squeezed by the palm choking her and causing a blockage in her air passage that affects her body greatly.

Remitting her pleads, his head bent leaning downward to his ear, in a way Missy could feel his hot breath on her, then he whispered. “We need to work on our rules beautiful, that’s the guarantee I have that you’ll live longer to serve all the punishment I have in stored for you, and don’t even think of leaving like you did the others have left me, it won’t be possible because I won’t let it happen.”

“W-w-wha-what d-do you mean?” Missy stammered, frightened by his statement and still dealing with his pressured choke on her.

“You don’t get to run away like the other three did, you’ll be here with me forever. Once I marry you, you’ll be mine forever.”

A smirk toppled over his lips as he finished saying that, “Tell your parents I’m gone and that tomorrow evening is the wedding where you will follow me home that same night.” He said to her, releasing her neck and wrist before disappearing out of her presence.

Missy let out a breathe of relief the moment she’s sure he’s gone, her palm slapping softly on her chest while the other rubbed gently against her neck that felt sore from how hard his hand was.

“What’s wrong with him?” Missy asked herself, as she try to understand what just happened.

The world deemed a crazy man wicked, because he doesn’t seem wicked and rather crazy. He needs help, like he needs to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital quickly before it’s too late.

Missy went in search of her father, to go explain to him what just happened and see if there’s another way to get his business back without involving with the Locke’s.

She knows he would either be in the study room or in his house office, her walk to the study room was fast and swift.

And in no time she was standing in front of the door pushing it open, she met no one thus turning back and making her way over to his office room.

There at the entrance before entering she could hear his voice already, she approached pushing the door open but the call her father was on had her halting and deciding to eavesdrop.

She leaned merging close with the door with her ears opened so the ongoing conversation could become clear to her.

“What!” Davis had exclaimed from inside on the phone putting Missy’s curiosity more on the edge.

“You want four million dollars now or my company won’t be released or given back to me?” He had said again, making Missy wonder who he’s discussing with.

“You asked for three million dollars, and I promise to give you tomorrow, and now four million. It’s alright, just don’t claim my company yet. Please I’m begging you, it’s my whole life. I’m loosing my daughter because of this, hello? Hello? Shit!”

The call must have ended.

Missy pulled back upon hearing that, pushing the door open and revealing her presence to her father.

“Dad I can’t marry that crazy patient that escaped getting full treatment in an asylum, he still needs help, he’s crazy….” Missy railed on, ranting on why she can’t go with this decision.

“Calm down, calm down, now tell me what suddenly happened, because before we left that dining I witness the both of you developing a connection. Huh?” He managed to stop her ranting, saying back to her and attaching a wink to support his last word.

“Yeah because I thought the world was wrong, but dad look.” Missy pointed at her wrist, “Look again,” she pointed at her neck. Both places having a red scratch over the skin layer.

“What!” Davis moved closer, examining her wrist and her neck.

“And he keeps talking as if I’m someone he knows before, he literally said I won’t run away like the others did from him. Dad I don’t wanna marry him please.” Missy begged, desperation in her eyes as she held her father’s hands. “There should be something we can do about this, we can get help from another family. Please don’t let me marry him.”

“Missy honey!” Davis called, squinting his gaze at the spot.

“Yes.”

“Are you sure you didn’t hurt yourself so you can lie that he did and to run away from this wedding?” Davis inquired.

“What?!” Missy jerked away from him, anger surfacing on her face. “Why would I do that?”

“Calm down now honey, if he truly did I will look into it okay, you should go now and go prepare yourself. Your wedding is tomorrow’s evening and it’s late already, go get some rest.”

“Did you not hear the part where I said he hurt me and I won’t like us pursuing the idea of me marrying him?!” Missy yelled, awed that her father is pushing her on instead.

“And I said I will look into it, you should go rest, tomorrow is going to be a big or stressful day for you. Don’t do this now and just help your father out, I’m really in a tight spot. You should go get some rest.” Davis urged her further, even moving close and patting her shoulder.

“Are you for real right now?”

“Missy, one of the guards found a traveling bag at the backyard where your room’s window is located. You planned on running away didn’t you?” Davis asked, changing the topic already.

“Get your hands off me, I should never have believe you’re actually a good person.” With that said, she stormed out of his office.

Missy walked in a scary pace, not really knowing where she’s going and just moving as her feet pleads. Her thoughts opening back up on what happened at the dining earlier this evening when she was left alone with him.

She knows nothing about him, what she heard are just rumor. Tonight is actually the first time she’s seeing him face to face. And heck he shouldn’t have been blessed with that face of his.

Missy made it to her room, rushing over to where her phone was, turning it on she had 16missed calls from Thea; her best friend, 11text messages from her still, none from her boyfriend. More texts from her high school friends on while she didn’t come to the party.

She ignored everything going straight to the internet, and began searching about Tyler. They were many articles about him, his success, his breakthrough, a lot of things.

However, amidst this all was a particular one, “TRAGEDY BEFELL THE KNOWN TYLER LOCKE AS HE FACE BETRAYAL AND HEARTBREAK FROM HIS LONGTERM LOVE AND BEST FRIEND”

This caught Missy’s attention as she clicked on it, reading through.

As she reads closer to the end, amazement spread wider on her face on to what it’s said that he went through or narrated that happened to him, just at the end and attached to the article was a picture of him, his fiancé as she was referred, and his best friend.

Missy’s eyes squinted, her gaze focusing on the wife’s picture, zooming in on it she realize her eyes wasn’t deceiving her.

The lady in the picture looks so much like her, same eyes, same hair, same everything except for their age. She’s like the older version of her, and Missy is the younger.

They’re like reality’s doppelgängers.

Now she get why he’s on to her.

“I’m so fucking screwed.” She said, as it rush in her head, realizing why he wanted her, why he said he won’t let her go, why he said he will punish her.

He wants revenge on her, but she isn’t her, she only shares a resemblance that’s not even her fault.
