Chapter 5

Standing in front of Davis Lane as he portrayed the priest and reading out to them the wedding vows that must be taken, Missy’s face speaks so much of her ongoing emotions, her feelings towards all that’s happening; and how she wishes to get away from it. While Tyler on the other hand held a void face to all that’s happening.

Dressed in a beautiful laced up white gown, it sparkled against her body while her face gleams in perfection under the light makeup smeared on her face.

“Do you Tyler Locke, take Missy Lane to be your wife, to love and cherish, to be with her during worst times, in sickness and in health, in good and bad times, till death do you both apart?” Davis read out, directed to Tyler with a gravid look expressed on his face.

“Yes I do,” came out Tyler’s plain reply.

“Do you Missy Lane, take Tyler Locke to be your husband, to love and cherish, to be with him during worst times, in sickness and in health, in good and bad times, till death do you both apart?” The same question was directed to Missy.

She kept quite, gazing at the floor where her feet stamped on, tears gathered under her eyes quickly as they flowed down doing light damages to her makeup.

Thinking back on yesterday where her life turn sour, thinking of the hell she’s stepping into. After finding out about Tyler’s life and reason for wanting her, she rushed to her father but he wouldn’t listen to her again because after finding the bag Missy had packed, he’s convinced she’s not hundred percent in on the plan and just trying to escape from everything.

He even begged her to please stop and just go to bed.

Missy tried talking to her mom but she didn’t see her throughout the night before going to sleep.

Same happened till now that she’s getting married, her mother is weirdly nowhere to be found.

“Missy I need you to answer right now,” Davis urged silently, in a low voice that only Tyler and Missy could hear.

“Yes I do.” Missy’s response came out shakily, sniffing as she wiped the tears that slid down her cheeks away.

“Then I pronounced you husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride!” Davis let out in vivid happiness.

Tyler turned to face Missy with her doing same but with her head bent, his hand moved to her face lifting it up gently by her jaw. His thumb rubbed softly on it with his eyes keened on the hazel orbs gazing up at him with tears clouding them.

Missy’s eyes teared down back to his lips, the seductive plumped lips that blooms a different feeling in her, that same desire crept back in and she found herself anticipating dearly for the kiss.

Slowly leaning his head down Tyler captured Missy’s lips in his, letting her feel the softness of his lips, and exchanging the sweetness as he rocked his lips perfectly against her till she gave more entrance unconsciously, falling into the kiss and swiping her tongue around with his deepening the kiss passionately. Tyler smirked as he pulled away.

Blood tickled down Missy’s lips as she touched to feel what has happened to her, Tyler had bitten her on the lips. What could she say or do? They’re now married and she’s doomed.

“And now it’s time for the wedding dinner, after the wedding dance of course.” Davis skipped away from their presence. “Music!” He yelled as the slow tune of music played out from the speakers, rimming through the hall.

“Come on now couples, time to dance!” Davis gestured for them to come to the center of the floor.

Tyler held out his palm for Missy to take, she glanced at his cold face, down back to his probably colder palm.

Reluctantly her palm laid on his as he dragged her closer, he led her to the center, intertwining their hands as they rolled softly to the beat.

Missy followed his dancing steps, promenade to the body, and finding her eyes glued to his face and not shifting away. Albeit he’s a beast disguised as a man, she can’t just deny gorgeous he looks. She wondered what the fiancé of his was thinking cheating on him with his best friend that doesn’t half match up to the man in front of her.

He’s just so handsome her eyes refused to leave him, his placid oceanic eyes gaze back at her with full stoicism instead. Her eyes feed on his facial perfection, trailing her gaze slowly down to his lips as it called strangely for her again.

Her tongue subconsciously swirled over her bottom lip, gracing over the cut Tyler invented earlier when they were asked to kiss.

That moment rewinded in Missy’s head, how he had kiss with his made word- perfection, the way he knew perfectly how to caress his lips with hers was extraordinary, she felt more than alive, forgot at that moment she was marrying a monster and temporarily melted in his brief kiss that blown her imagination to wild places of doing more than a kiss with him.

She wondered why she betrayed him? This man right here is everything a lady would want in a husband, but he was betrayed and toyed with according to what she read.

By his best friend and the lady that claims to love him.

The music ended with their bodily actions of dancing coming to an end also. The guests around them roared an applause for them.

Missy attempted to pull her palm away but Tyler held onto it, leading her with him to the dinner table.

He dragged out a chair for her to sit on, the act creasing Missy’s brows into confusion, she sat down digging in the gentleman’s act he just portrayed.

“Where is your mother?” Davis asked, looking around the table that was getting filled with guests already to find his wife missing and not with them.

“I should go look for her.” Missy stood up and before anyone could deny she had ran off, straight out of the hall and to the foyer, taking the stairs and running upstairs.

Finish covering the stairs with her heels clicking on the golden tiled floor of the hallway solemnly, she rethink to the beginning of when her life was announced for destruction, when her life was sentenced to trauma.

Her hands wrapped around herself as she pushed the tears that threatened to spill down her face back inside. She approached the room where a familiar voice was coming from. That must be where her mother was.

Getting closer she suddenly stop, looking unsure to what she heard, she tipped closer for a clearer hearing.

“I’m already on my way. I told you I have everything, he lost everything by willing them to me, my real identity as you know. We’ll talk later so goodbye.”

Missy stood at the entryway, hearing the final words come out from the woman she thought was her mother into the phone she just brought down from her ear.

“What the fuck!”
