Chapter 3: Elusive Dinner.

Chapter 3: Elusive Dinner.

Her lips were parted in express of her shock, a paled expression matted on her face with her eyes bulging. Trains of questions railing through her mind.

“What happened? How did it happened? What went wrong? What are you saying?” Missy inquired with disbelief, unable to grasp the significance of what she’s hearing from her father. How did he come about losing it all? What is happening to him or happened that made him lost it all? Is it really possible he lost everything?

Missy was beyond confused as well as astounded, her creased eyebrows merged with her scrunched face that gazed intensely at her father in expectation of a response.

“I don’t know Missy, I honestly don’t know.” He answered, sincerity in his tone, looking away to hide the emotions surfacing on his face.

“I just woke up one day and found out that everything I own was no longer mine and has been willed to someone I have no idea of. Whoever the culprit is gave me three days to either get out of this life of mine that I built and forget it was mine, or give to him or her or whoever the fuck is such a whooping sum of three million dollars. Being left with nothing and nothing at all, I have no options than to do this Missy, I had to run to the Locke’s because the father and I are good friends, he told me maybe he could talk to his son on my behave, and the son requested for you as a payback. It was my only choice and I had to make it.” Davis explained further, keeping himself in check and trying not to breakdown in front of his daughter.

“Three million what?” Missy exclaimed in a surprised tone at the heard of the amount. “Dad and you’re claiming you don’t know who did this? How is that possible even? Have you checked your list of enemies?” She questioned out of shock, still settling with the fact that such huge amount is requested for when everything is not in her father’s possession anymore.

Her arms pulled hugging herself, sniffing with tears suffocating her lashes.

“Tyler of all people. How can I marry Tyler, he’s going to kill me if not ruin me. Dad Tyler is said to be a monster….. he’s going to end my life.” Missy cried out, tears pooling away from her eyes the more she come in terms with the news.

“Don’t you worry about that buttercup. I promise I will get you back from him, I promise. Count on that. So please do this for your father, please, for your family.”

“I should marry a monster?” Her head tilted not really wanting the assurance she asked for.

“Yes. I promise to get you back.”

…………………….

Missy found it had to concentrate on the meal in front of her, the man seated opposite her seems to have her attention captivated so deeply her eyes were keen on him rather focusing on her dinner.

Yes, Tyler is painted to be the monster, a wicked soulless man, but why would a cruel human being be blessed with a face like his.

She had believe his appearance would be an appalling sight, but this is quite the opposite.

The thought of that goes wild in her head as her eyes devour more of his appearance like there’s nothing else she can do.

They were already having the introduction dinner, and Tyler had visited like he said; meeting his bride to be for the first time.

Surprisingly, only Tyler came when the whole family is expected to come for the dinner. Tyler was having a random conversation with Davis trying to know and learn the little he could learn about his wife to be at a short period of time before their marriage take place, while her mother munch silently on her dinner just watching the non-chaotic scenario played out.

Everyone was eating there dinner, except for Missy who couldn’t get her eyes off Tyler the moment he came in and was caught up digesting his appearance instead.

How can a man be this good looking and be termed a devil. It doesn’t make any sense at all. He has no appearance issue like she had thought.

Over his head was his deep black hair gelled straight to the left side with some strands sticking out of it in perfect ringlets, the strands fell down his exceptionally moulded countenance that smooths so beautiful with a straightened brows carved over a socket housing an enticing oceanic orbs that has such a cute lashes flapping stillfully over them.

His nose were another piece of perfection inches away from his heart shaped pink and moistened lips; from his tongue unconsciously swiping over it whenever he speaks in his seductive manner of speaking that had Missy wishing to jump across the table and have a feel of those lips taking hers in.

Lining from both sides of his profile was a thin beards that ran down the surface of his chin colliding at his jaw area, the scruffy piece of hair moved up from his jaw around his mouth and beneath his nose as a thin lined mustache that suits his manly look. This all accounts to his flawless handsome and breathtaking face.

Missy’s eyes crawled over to his broad shoulders and chest claded in a white ruffled shirt that wasn’t fully buttoned and left his upper trunk slightly visible.

From where she sat she could witness how fitted he is, from his thick arms to his large torso muscled against the shirt he wore. There is no need to guess him being mouth watering on the inside also.

He’s every lady’s dream, yet he was termed the nightmare. He could have any girl he wants by just plainly looking at them, and yet some would still want him from afar. How could a man with this kind of face he hated, he looks like a Greek god literally.

“Quit staring at him now Missy, he would be all yours by tomorrow, latest at night.” Davis teased with a chuckle, after noticing his daughter’s eyes haven’t left the man’s face and body ever since he came in.

But it was worth it, he himself wonder why no one wants to ever be with this man when he’s this good-looking, like it’s absurd yet weirdly understandable.

“I’m not.” Missy gave a sharp response, finally removing her eyes from Tyler and gracing her food the attention needed.

Soon enough her eyes was back up, slowly trailing from his long set of fine fingers over to his rigid muscled arms that was partly visible as because the shirt Tyler put on was rolled to the elbow joint.

She could tell that not only his face is godly, his body would be more than that, hints were given from the slightly opened part of his shirt. Just as her eyes went back to his face, they came in contact with the pair of two oceanic orbs peering back at her, bestowing her his attention.

She immediately look away, but like a compelled being her eyes came back returning, looking at him, both engaging in a staring competition.

“That reminds me, I have something to show my wife, we’ll be back just now, you both can take the chance and get to know each other well.” Davis announced as he stood up, grabbing his wife gently by her wrist and dragging her away from the scene.

They both kept staring at each other, nescient that they were now alone and seeming comfortable with the tensed atmosphere that seeped through the surroundings.

“Why do you look so much like her? The beauty, the innocence, everything like her, why?” Tyler asked, in a very soft tone, his eyes glued to Missy as he began taking in her features also.

Missy hearing this forged a confused expression to what he meant. What is he talking about? Who did she look like.

“Is it true that you want to marry me? That you chose marrying me as the price you get for helping my father out?” Missy interrogated, ridding the polluted atmosphere of its awkwardness.

Instead of a reply, Tyler smirked a response, bending his head as he slowing lifted his brows up and back at her. “What did I ever do to you? Tell me what I did wrong than just loving you?”

He said instead, confusing Missy the more as she stared around wondering if he’s okay.

Have they met somewhere before? No she’s very sure that she has never seen his face before, because if she have, marrying him would be of happy news rather than a sad one to her.

“Uhm…… Are you really wicked?” She inquired, seeming weird out by how creepy Tyler was staring at her now.

With his gaze lowered and face blank, he stared at her through his eyebrows making him appear like a psychopath studying its victim.

“I think I will go call my-“

“You’ll be mine soon, and once you become that I will make you pay dearly for your past atrocities, until there’s no more of you left in this world will I be at rest for what you caused me. But of course, you’ll see hell this time before I let you go.” He voiced out in a deadly tone, cutting Missy off her words with cold chills spilling down her spine, her whole system that brought tremors shaking her up.

“What do you mean by that?”

Missy asked with her brows creased in confusion and nervousness, giving out a low chuckle of uneasiness.

Tyler scoffed, a sinister smirk curling up his lips. Missy couldn’t help but find him instantly threatening, yes she doubted that he wasn’t what the world said he is, but right now she can’t be so sure.

His once sweet face that was innocently conversing with her father had become something she couldn’t comprehend or explain.

So quickly his face had changed, the handsomeness or fineness was still there, but the innocence was now replace with something hazardous and threatening. Something that warns her to run from.

His once fine expression has taken a new shade of darkness, his eyes dimming as they stared coldly at her, sending unidentified dangerous signals to her.

“I think my mom is calling for me.” Missy immediately stood up after composing a lie, he was scaring her big time and she needs to leave his suffocating presence.

“Get your butt glued back to that seat and do not stand up!” He ordered, voice hard like a rock, his gaze not leaving the seat he was referencing to.

“Huh?”

“Disobey me more and the will to punish you more will grow bigger and wider. I don’t do remorse, but I won’t be force to do it so disobey me. You don’t walk away from me when I’m talking. That should be your first rule if you make us initiate it.”

“Yeah bye,” she turned right after, walking away from him to go find his parent and explain to them what she’s encountering with this man.

She doesn’t think he’s in his right senses, she hadn’t gotten anywhere when a strong grip grabbed her wrist on her left hand, spinning her around that resulted in her face colliding with a hard surface, her head pulled back seeing his toned chest staring at her forehead.

A relaxing sigh escaped Missy’s lips as she inhaled the manly cologne, then she snapped pulling away at once, looking up to the culprit behind the bump.

“Leave me,” she struggled to free her wrist from his firm grip but her great effort proved futile as he didn’t bulge neither felt her impact.

“Do you want me teaching you a lesson right under your parent’s roof?” The question came out, in a tone darker than the hole in a tunnel.
