This was Chris she was talking to. They were in the middle of a meeting for a multi-million dollar project. Yet here Kathryn was, asking about cooking ingredients.

Janet and the finance manager exchanged looks. They were both shocked. They expected Chris to get angry and scold Kathryn immediately for her idiocy!

But then, they heard Chris's tone soften. "Get both. Can you carry all that?"

Janet and the finance manager were speechless. Their chests tightened, and their minds went blank. Was that really Ms. Michaels? A lowly assistant?

Kathryn said she could carry the items. Then, she asked whether there really was nothing in the kitchen.
