17. Let me go

I looked around the room once again and finally turned to the only person I wasn't expecting here.

Indeed a surprise.

I moved towards the exit where Elena was standing. I didn't want to talk to her right now. No one in their right mind would do.

Just as I reached the handle, Elena took hold of my wrist, "Aha," she shook her head, "Where do you think you're going? Sorry sweetheart, you ain't going anywhere."

I crossed my arms, "Cut the crap already... I have to be somewhere."

She looked me dead in the eyes, "And where is it?"

I sighed and told her that I had to be with Ms Hayes right now. After hearing me she laughed. She freaking laughed! I'm sure I didn't crack a joke.
