CHAPTER 93

ZYLIAH’S POV

"Let's head to the dining room. Dinner is being served," Grandma Charlotte announced, emerging from the corner she'd taken not quite long ago, and my stomach twisted with nerves.

Just then, the lady from the last time—the one who had slapped me and tried to humiliate me—entered the living room. She was still fully dressed, clearly just returning, and my chest tightened at the sight of her.

She stopped short when she spotted me. A little glare of spite flickered before she ignored the three of us and walked past, mumbling a greeting to Grandma Charlotte, who only mumbled a faint response in return.

The four of us found our way to the dining room, with Grandma Charlotte leading the way, her steps calm while mine dragged.

The table was already set, gleaming with silver and crystal. We all took seats, me opting to stay close to Natalie and Delia. Grandma Charlotte sat close to the head of the table.
