Kai paused as he passed Miss Connell's classroom, staring in at her until he'd caught her attention. He gave her the creepiest smile he could manage before turning away.

He hadn't decided whether or not to take out his anger on her or just Tom. She hadn't actually done anything, but still—messing with her would hurt Tom.
