Chapter 1

A notification popped up on my phone.

"Cruise trip now boarding! Busty bunny girls who know how to scream, juicy and ready for action! Limited slots available. Come enjoy the party!"

It was the summer after freshman year. My twin sister Drew Romano was hellbent on joining that slutty senior Luna Rossi aboard some cruise ship as a "bunny girl" to make some fast cash.

I scrolled past the ad online, and my chest tightened.

In my past life, I was terrified something would happen to Drew, so I worked up the nerve to stop her.

She was obsessed with making money and even hurled vicious insults at me.

I panicked and called our parents. Together we dragged Drew back home.

She spent the entire summer locked inside the house, practically climbing the walls.

Meanwhile, Luna hooked up with a mafia Don on that ship and came back dripping in gold and jewels.

She made a point of flaunting it in front of my sister, waving around a hand loaded with eight diamond rings until her eyes went red.

Drew turned green with envy. She went completely insane and took all her rage out on me, convinced I had destroyed her path to wealth.

My father, a Capo desperate to climb the ranks, was furious that he missed his chance with the mafia Don. He slapped me across the face over and over.

My mother, dreaming of riding her daughter's coattails to glory, cursed me with the vilest words imaginable.

They tied me up, dragged me to the shore, and all three of them held my head underwater until I drowned.

That was how I died.

The moment my consciousness returned, I had returned to the day my sister agreed to take that job.

Memories of betrayal and hatred from my past life flashed through my mind. When I came back to senses, I was already walking through the front door.

Luna was sprawled across the couch looking absolutely seductive.

"Drew, it wasn't easy getting this spot, and you were the first person I thought of. Everyone on that cruise is a big shot!"

Big shots? More like a bunch of drug dealers hiding behind the mafia name.

I sneered inwardly.

Luna noticed me walk in and deliberately needled Drew. "If you don't make money, how can you ever compare to your sister? She's swimming in scholarship money."

"She's nothing!" Drew jumped to her feet. "She just got lucky and knows how to study, that's all!"

I had always been better than Drew at everything, which made her feel inferior and bitter.

I got into the top university in Melcina with the highest scores in our entire school. Drew barely scraped into some third-rate college.

At the celebration banquet attended by all our relatives, she pointed at my face and called me a sheltered bookworm who never grew up.

"If she left school and lost all those classmates kissing her ass, she wouldn't even know how to survive on the streets. Why should anyone compare her to me?"

"But Tina isn't just good at studying. The guys chasing after her could form a line all the way to the school gates." Luna continued stirring the pot without a care.

Drew put on a disdainful expression. "Hmph! Those guys only swarm around her because she's cheap and easy."

She was right about one thing. The boys at school did circle around me. They gave me flowers and wrote me love letters. However, Drew tore every single one to shreds and threw them in the trash.

Meanwhile, Marco Lombardi, the senior she had pined after for three years, invited only me to his birthday party.

Drew dolled herself up and crashed the event anyway, only to be turned away at the door. For someone like Drew, who was as proud as a peacock, it was utterly humiliating.

She screamed at me in front of everyone. "You slut! What kind of dirty tricks did you use to seduce him?"

Looking back now, she was just arrogant and stupid.

"Tina, didn't you refuse to hand over your scholarship money to me?" Drew suddenly turned toward me, her eyes full of provocation.

"Fine. This time I'll make my own money. I don't need your dirty cash!"

I smiled bitterly. Mom and Dad had made it clear that since I had scholarship money, they would not support me anymore.

When it came time to pay tuition, Dad shoved his bank card back into his pocket right there at the finance office. "Don't you have a scholarship? Pay it yourself."

Then he turned around and gave that same money to Drew as spending cash.

When my meal card ran low, I called Mom for help.

She said, "Didn't they just deposit your scholarship money? Why do girls need to eat so much anyway!"

Two minutes later, Drew posted a photo on social media of the three of them feasting at an upscale restaurant.

The scholarship barely covered my tuition and meals, let alone clothes or other necessities.

That money was barely enough for me. How could I possibly give it to her?

There was no way I would feed her bottomless pit of vanity.

Drew's selfishness, her vanity, her greed, her insatiable hunger, and the viciousness in her bones were all products of our parents spoiling her rotten since childhood.

This time around, I would not say another word. I would sit back and watch this little show unfold.

I plastered a fake smile across my face.

"If my sister can stand on her own two feet, of course I’ll support her. I hope you land yourself a mafia Don real soon!"

I released her hand and pulled a wet wipe from my bag in disgust, carefully cleaning each of my fingers.Just then, Carmen's phone rang. It was a debt collector.Carmen's hands trembled violently. Before she could even speak, a stream of curses poured through the speaker.Yesterday, Papa made a single phone call and every one of Raphael's financial lifelines snapped. The business partners who had called him brother just days ago had turned into relentless creditors overnight. The socialite who had invited Carmen to tea yesterday kicked her out of every group chat today. She even posted on social media. "Some people thought they were about to hit it big time, but they crashed and burned instead. Hilarious!""Your jewelry and handbags are already at the pawn shop." I glanced at her casually."Raphael's medical bills aren't cheap either. Good luck with that."Carmen slumped to the floor, her eyes glazed over. I leaned close to her ear and whispered in a voice only we could hear.

Luna was convicted on multiple charges and sentenced to death. As for Raphael and his family, after I tormented them for over two hours, they were severely dehydrated and on the verge of collapse. The bodyguards dumped them on the dock like garbage. Drew had to use every last bit of her strength to beg passersby to call an ambulance. At the hospital, an even bigger spectacle was waiting for them.During that month on the ship, all three of them had contracted diseases they were too ashamed to name.Raphael's face turned bright red with shame. He had never been so embarrassed in his entire life.In a fit of desperation, he tried to escape by climbing out the window like they do on TV.His foot slipped. He fell straight down from the third-floor ledge. His leg shattered, and his manhood was destroyed on impact.Raphael and his family became a global laughingstock.Raphael thought that once the scandal died down, he could make a comeback, but Papa did not give him that opportunit

After dealing with those three, I remembered Luna, who had been cowering in the corner this entire time, trying to make herself invisible. When our eyes met, she flinched, but she then immediately plastered on a fawning smile."Tina, I never hurt you...""Oh right, I almost forgot about you." I cut her off."Don't worry. You're next."If I had not been lucky enough to meet my biological father at that critical moment, I would already be nothing more than a plaything offered up to that man in the black tank top."Since you love pimping girls out on cruise ships so much, why don't you take your talents somewhere else?"Luna's face went sheet white.I did not give her a chance to beg. I had the bodyguards cover her head with a black cloth, gag her mouth, and throw her onto a speedboat.Luna's crimes were far more horrifying than I had imagined. She had lured at least 80 girls, maybe even 100, onto that ship under the guise of high-paying part-time work. The ones who cooperated w

I stayed silent in the face of their terrified stares. In my past life, when they dragged me to the dock, they had bragged about it gleefully. The day I received acceptance letters from three top universities, Raphael had secretly sold me for two million dollars to his business partner, a crippled old man in his 50s.He claimed it was to use my beauty to bear children and improve their family bloodline.Even without this cruise incident, they would have found another excuse to break me and ship me off."Tina, let me explain!" Raphael tried to grab my leg, but a bodyguard twisted his arm behind his back.A sharp crack echoed through the room, followed by agonized screaming. My gaze moved past him and landed on Drew, who had been eerily silent this entire time.Suddenly she dropped to her knees with a thud. Tears filled her eyes as she frantically bowed her head to the floor over and over"Tina! I'm sorry! I should have listened to you!”"But the ones who hurt you were Mom and D

Chaos erupted on the deck. Don DeLuca's bodyguards reacted instantly, and gunshots rang out one after another.I collapsed to the ground. In the last moments before my consciousness faded, I saw the fury blazing in Don DeLuca's eyes."Don't let a single one of them escape!"When I opened my eyes again, my nose was assaulted by the sharp smell of hospital disinfectant. Was I still alive? An overwhelmed, trembling voice pulled me back to reality."My Principessa! You're finally awake!"I struggled to turn my head and saw Don DeLuca's tear-streaked face. He reached out his hand, but did not dare touch me. Every muscle in his face was trembling."Your wound was deep, but it didn't hit anything vital. The doctor said you need to rest."When I did not respond, he paused and let out a long sigh."Valentina, this is all Papa's fault. All these years, I let you suffer."My chest tightened. Valentina?I had seen that name before in a missing person notice posted by the DeLuca family.

Carmen was on her knees, groveling in front of Luna, begging desperately."Please let us go! Let Drew go!”"As long as you let the three of us leave, you can have Tina! Use her however you want. Even if you kill her, we won't complain!"Raphael nodded frantically in agreement. "Right, right! The three of us aren't worth half of what she is!"Luna looked at them with amusement. "Is that so? But the boss wants all of you together. None of you are getting out of this!"She waved her hand, and the guards immediately stripped off my clothes. They hauled me over and positioned me beneath the man in the black tank top in the same position as Drew.Just as I was resigning myself to my fate, someone burst into the room looking panicked."Outside! Don DeLuca's men are everywhere! It looks like they're searching for someone!"The man in the black tank top paused, irritated. He threw both of us to the floor.I collapsed on the ground, coughing violently and gasping for air, but then the b
